This helped me get rid of a massive fruit fly problem I had in my kitchen. I hung up 3 of these. Don't expect the problem to go away instantly or in a day or so.... it takes time if you have a lot of insects. But eventually it gets the job done. I sometimes place some wine or vinegar in a little pinch bowl near the strips as bait so that the flies get attracted to the general area where the strips are, and eventually they land on the strips. The other thing I do is use my vacuum (with the crevice tool) to go after any flies that hang out on surfaces (counter tops, cabinets) near the strips. (Eventually I discovered that the flies were living in the soil of a flower pot, and getting rid of the plant helped solve some of the problem...)

This old fashioned method works really well for spring fly season. My only complaint is they can we tricky to unravel.

It helped me cure a sewer fly infestation in about a week. Easy to install, can be a bit messy when disposing due to the exposed adhesive. Wear gloves so you don't get the goo on your hands.

Not sure why but this didn’t catch a single fly for the first week. I need it for my garage as it seems every time the door opens ten flies come in. After the first weeks it did catch a bunch!

The TERRO T518SR Magnet Sticky Fly Paper traps have been effective in controlling fly infestations in my home. Each pack comes with 16 traps, providing ample coverage for multiple rooms. The sticky adhesive on these traps is potent, effectively capturing flies and other flying insects upon contact. They are easy to set up and dispose of, making them convenient to use. The magnet feature allows for versatile placement options, whether on windowsills, near garbage bins, or in other fly-prone areas. These traps have significantly reduced the number of flies indoors without the need for harmful chemicals or odors. However, while they work well for flies, they can sometimes catch other unintended insects or dust, which may require occasional cleaning or replacement. Overall, these fly traps from TERRO offer reliable performance and are a great option for anyone dealing with indoor fly issues.

The roll comes with a string so you can pull the paper out which is all well and good.. but when you finish uncoiling from the outer shell it does what everyone thinks it'll do... which is recoil back to a ball but this time it flings around like a spring sticking to everything and leaving a residue. So even if you do end up it up it still retains its coil shape so bugs only stick to the that one outer shell... I had to break my review virginity because this product brings me a lot of anger cause of how terribly designed it is. Like.. when I put it on the wall it just left its nasty residue which is impossible to clean off. So unless you want to sacrifice your disco ball hook dedicated in the middle of the room to this stupid one sided coiled fly trap don't bother with this one. EDIT: but even if you did sacrifice that one hook to this fly trap it'll likely get tangled into your friend's afro when they're jamming to the beat.

I have a few of these in my large garden courtyard, which we have fenced off for 2 puppies to play (until they can be trusted in the yard not to hurt themselves or destroy the reticulation and the garden). These hang out of reach over their 2 potty areas and do a great job.Just remember to be very careful not to let your pups get at them. We had a strong wind and one blew down. While they’re not toxic they are a strip of gunk covered fabric. Luckily our dog finally vomitted it up so we discovered what had happened to it and it didn’t get stuck in his intestines. The other day it was extremely windy and one must have blown off and was eaten by one of the puppies. It appeared in vomit a day later and in diarrhoea over a couple of days. Looked it up and thank goodness no insecticides are used and the substance isn’t toxic. I now take that one down when it’s very windy!

Read the reviews that a few people had to leave theirs out for a couple of days and then their's started to work but ours never worked... and then we also got maggots. Definitely don't recommend

WOW! These really do the trick, they’re amazing. I left these out for half a week near my Guinea pigs’ cage, where a lot of flies were starting to appear (which I’m suspecting is the result of changes in temperature, and a couple of flies getting into my basement in order to procreate). Over the span of half of a week I went from seeing a family reunion of flies to seeing only 1 or 2 occasional flies. This was a tremendously impressive task, given that the fly tape had caught nearly 20 of these pesky lil things. There’s a semi-citrusy smell to the fly tape, but nothing unbearable. They’re also super sticky so even if a fly manages to escape, they’re usually incapacitated, to the point that they are no longer able to fly (tip: when this happens, just pick them up yourself with a gloved hand or tissue). One thing I might want to improve on, is probably the ease in unraveling these. They’re still somewhat curled even when you follow the instructions to twist the tape in the opposite direction. I wish this were a straight piece of tape as that was the way manufactures intended it to be. Otherwise, everything about this tape is AMAZING— a must purchase if you have a fly problem!!!

We have been plagued with a pestilence of flies. In December, mind you. This is unprecedented. So we ordered these fly paper traps, hoping to solve the problem. For the first few days, there was no action at all and I was very disappointed, but all of a sudden those fly strips are like Fly Central, and the strip is covered with those annoying flies, which are some kind of smaller fly we do not usually see. We are very pleased with such an inexpensive and easy solution to what was a very annoying problem. Would certainly use again and can easily recommend to others with similar unfortunate problems.

These work surprisingly well and are very effective in doing the job. I deploy 2 in a chicken coop run to assist in reducing fly count, which is high here with recent wet weather and high humidity. This version is much more effective than the larger wider equivalent with the 3D print here in Australia.

Long story short, this solved our gnat problem but I have no idea how. I don't know if anything got stuck to the tape but the bugs are gone. Since it worked, I won't question it.So we had these annoying gnats/fruit fly like bugs that were only in our bedroom for the most part. There was only like 1 or 2 per day but they were those ones that drives you nuts by flying right in your face and you can never kill them, so we bought these. They opened fairly easily without much force or the string or anything breaking randomly. I took the time to unravel it and tried pulling it tight and holding it like that for a bit, but as soon as I let go then it just wound right back up. I figured it would unravel on its own after hanging it up, so it wasn't a big deal. (The pic with more light shows how it was out of the box the first night)We put it into our ceiling above our computer where those things managed to evoke the most rage in us and went to bed. The very next morning we didn't see any flies. I didn't notice any stuck on the tape either though. Its now been 4 days since putting the fly paper up and we have not seen a single one of those gnats anywhere in my home. I *think* one may be stuck to the paper, but not completely sure, it could be dust too. I really don't understand it. We had these flies for 3 weeks and no severe change in weather or anything else, so I know it was these papers. They're the only change we made. Also side note, it ended up unraveling a little bit after we turned on our humidifier last night, but otherwise it still hasnt really straightened out yet.(You can see in the 2nd pic, the darker one where more of the window is in the shot) Its only been up for 4 days and I just measured it to be about 2 feet, even with it still curled a bit. I saw some other reviewers not like that it didnt unravel completely. I don't mind since it's not like we need the extra tape space and I'd probably manage to hit my head off it somehow if it was longer, which I'm definitely okay with never doing (again).Ultimately we bought this to get rid of our gnat problem, which it did. Even if it wasn't in the expected way. So I'm competely happy with the purchase. And it does seem sticky enough that if they land on it they would get stuck to it. Also getting 8 of them for the price is worth it as well.
