- Tera 5100 is easy to set up. Just plug and play. It is compatible with any PC or laptop where you can plug a 2.4GHz wireless dongle. Not compatible with smartphones and tablets. Supports iOS, Android, Linux, Windows, and Mac OS.
- When in 2.4GHz wireless, the transmission distance is up to 328ft with a barrier-free environment and about 30-100ft with an indoor obstacle environment, depending on the complexity of the environment.

- The upgraded version 2.4G Wireless Receiver is small, portable and reliable, easy to carry (it can be placed into the back of the scanner).
- The old version wireless receiver is very large and easily damaged.
Supports 35 Languages
- Supports multiple languages including English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Japanese, etc.
- To get the correct output, make sure the scanner's keyboard language consistent with your computer's keyboard language.
- The scanner's factory default language is English.
Customizable Volume
- The scanner features customizable volume, which allows you to turn the volume on/off based on the barcode in the user manual, as well as raise or lower the volume when scanning barcodes.
Supports USB Virtual COM Port
- The scanner works with a virtual serial port driver and serial port software. The scanned information will show up in the window of the serial port software even if other universal software is opened, such as excel, word, notepad, etc. USB Virtual COM Port works with Windows 7/8/10/11/XP. Not compatible with Mac OS.

I purchased this scanner to help catalogue my home library of over 800 books. It works seemlessly with the Libib app even though I did have to youtube how to get the two to work together. It has been very helpful and made the whole process very quick. I was able to complete the cataloguing in a day as opposed to using my phone or manually entering. Highly recommend for anyone with a large book collection or who secret desires to use the scanner at the libraries growing up.

Item worked great for the first few months, but then started not scanning intermittantly throughout the day. Now it only works about half the time, at best. Have tried unplugging and resetting everytime, but now it doesn't help. Purchased on March 16, problems began mid August, and now we have gone back to our old wired one.

I purchased 3 of these scanners for our school library. When they were working, they were often glitchy, taking awhile to scan barcodes and sometimes not reading the barcode at all. A year after purchasing the 1st scanner, it stopped working. It's now been a year and a half and a second scanner stopped working. When 2 out of 3 last less than 2 years, that's a direct reflection on the lack of quality and durability of these scanners. I would not purchase them again nor would I recommend them to others.

We have a plethora of scanners for our business and this has become the main workhorse. No bells and whistles, but it does what we need it to do extremely well. Plug and play and most importantly the battery lasts. It has a good range on it too! 5 stars, well worth the money.

I sent this to a relative so I'll see how long it lasts with him. For me, worked right out the box as expected an the price was very good. I would recommend this to others I've used more expensive ones in work scenarios so I do know the difference.

This is my first year as a librarian and I was having a hard time managing student behavior across a large library while checking out books. This wireless gun helped me put my laptop on a cart and walk around with it, keeping an eye on students, while still checking out books.

This is our second scanner in this brand and there's obviously been some changes, not necessarily for the best. Our last one was "plug and play" this one claims to be plug and play but so far, that has not been the case. It adds digits to the barcode so it's not finding anything, after being charged all day, it died within an hour, I don't know if it's defective or this is how it operates, but the manual was not helpful and so now we've contacted support and have been waiting two days to even get a response. I'm glad we have a back up scanner or we'd be in a lot of trouble.

So I can't comment on Battery life because I JUST got it and haven't had enough time to see how long it lasts. But this scanner is fantastic! I tried it on my MacBook and my work PC laptop and it's working perfectly for both. I love the colour and plug and play ease of use, it's just so user friendly and I'm so glad I got it!
