I got this hook because I needed something with a fairly large-sized hook to use with my juvenile blood python. So far this hook has been just what I needed. The hook slides under her body easily, the handle is comfortable, the whole tool supports her ever-increasing weight, and the telescoping feature means I can adjust the length as needed. I usually don't need a lot of length, so I mostly use it pretty much collapsed, but I like having the option to make in longer in case she's ever having a grumpy day and I want to put more distance between us.My only complaint is that when it arrived, the telescoping shaft seemed to be slightly greasy. I assume that was so it could extend and collapse smoothly, but I don't want my hands to be greasy when I'm working with my snakes, so I wiped off as much of it as I could.
