I love this torque wrench. My old standard style Tekton got stored for a couple weeks at 100ftlbs so I ordered this to have as my primary now. You do need to make sure you’re listening harder for the click as it can be faint on this style torque wrench. That’s not a product complaint, that’s simply a split beam thing. It’s very easy to set, you just open the cover and turn the dial until it reaches your setting you want and then you close the cover back over it. The product itself has a solid and premium feel, especially compared to the Harbor Freight unit I purchased (3/8”).

My first split beam torque wrench and have to say this is a fantastic tool very precise and easy to set and calibrate, well worth paying slight more over a deflecting beam wrench.

What I like most about this torque wrench is how long it it. Very easy to torque the wheels on my C8 Corvette to 140 FT LB.The wrench has a very solid and quality build. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Got mine for a while now and compared to calibrated Proto both 3/8 and 1/2. The Tekton were on par with calibration but 1 Proto is 600$. The Tekton were used for torquing flanges on 4 inch ANSI and some API flanges, worked great too got the job done no leaks all is good!

It's a nice overall wrench for the price. Out of the sturdy box it's a nice, solid piece of equipment.The design is flawless. The head which pivots to a certain extent work great.The only negative is the wheel used to dial in the torque setting. It feels like the company went over budget on the wrench, and at the last minute, inked the order for the cheapest dial. The markings aren't very clear and they skip more common settings. I guess close is pretty good. It does have a handy cover that locks into place to preserve your setting. But for the price, I was expecting a torque dial which was a tad more robust.

With auto mechanic shop rates having gone up considerably over the past couple of years I have taken to doing more of my own work. I have learned that in doing so you need to have quality tools. This wrench was not cheap but being confident that you're doing a job correctly is worth the investment. The setting dial has a protective cover that snaps into place to prevent it from being accidentally changed. The dial is pretty small and marked off in 5# increments which is kinda hard for my old eyes to see, but I like it better than the twist handle wrenches I've previously used. The click is very audible and quite satisfying - especially for those 200+ ft lb adjustments.The wrench is very well constructed and the head pivots on the handle making getting to some of the harder to reach places a bit easier. It's a lot of wrench for the money and well worth it.

Bought this torque wrench to tighten mission critical internal engine fasteners. Didn't want to take a chance on some no name brand, non-certified bit of cheap kit. Glad I bought it. Very easy to set and use. You can feel the click through the handle and it is so loud that I thought I had snapped a bolt the first time I used.Very well made tool, feels great in the hand.

So glad I was able to pick this up on Amazon. Great product from a great company with unreal warranty. Having the flex head means not having to turn the wheels to torque and the feedback when clicking is very nice. Setting the torque is way faster than the typical rotating style and comes in a nice hard case

This split beam torque wrench is one of the best!! Extremely well built, quality, and a lifetime warranty that you cannot beat!! This torque wrench took a beating for 3 years in a shop environment before it gave out on me. Everyday, for hours and hours, upwards of 7 people used this torque wrench, and it was not treated well at all during those 3 years lol. Thrown, dropped, run over, got wet, etc. It remained accurate month after month and never let me down!! When it did finally give up, it was time to file a warranty claim. I messaged tekton through their website at 4:10pm on November 29th and at 4:12pm on November 29th, the same day, only 2 minutes later, I had a new torque wrench in the mail on the way to me. You couldn't even see the issue through the photos I submitted because the issue was internal and I offered to send a video, but they didn't even care!! They just took my word for it and 2 minutes later I had a new one on the way!! Unbelievable!! You cannot go wrong with tekton guys!! They keep improving, they keep innovating, and they stand behind their product. They are one of the only tool companies left that are still doing things right!! No receipts, no time limits, you don't have to be the original owner, and you can reef on these tools knowing your covered. They are making more and more tools in usa and they bring you a quality product at a price that makes sense. I try to buy tekton tools when I can and I've never regretted it, and you won't either. This company will only continue to grow and continue to innovate. They are among some of the best and continue to surprise me every year. They are family owned and operated, and if you want quality at a great price, with an unbeatable warranty, this is your brand!!
