Description
SW-520D is a commonly available roller-ball type tilt sensor which consists of two conductive elements (poles) and a conductive free mass (rolling ball), encapsulated in the same case.
The switch would be in the "off position" in the horizontal positon, "on positon" when raised to 15-90 degree or shakes.
When the OFF end of the switch is lower than the horizontal angle by 15 degrees, it is difficult to trigger conduction when shaking.
This switch is suitable for triggering small current circuits and is not suitable for power switches.

To be honest it is my first time using this kind of tilt sensor and really works better that I expected! I use to light up a twist desk lamp without any debounce circuit (only a batteries a led light and the sensor) and works excellent for my needs

You will find these ball switches are radial leaded.Don't worry they fit in the soldering handles just fine without binding.

I've been trying to make my own float switch for a bilge pump, I was hoping these could stand more of a tilt before triggering. I will save for other applications but for now I have a different design I am playing with that is what I want.

It's a tilt switch with a couple of tiny metal marbles inside that make contact. 3M mounting tape was used to orient the switch at a slight angle so tilting is reliable. Works great. No anti bounce was used in my circuit. It works fine in my application.
