I'm giving this five stars because I got it when it was heavily discounted - if only I'd seen a line module at the same sort of price cut! The rumble back does enhance the OP-Z experience slightly, but functionally it really doesn't alter it as an instrument. For completists, it makes the Teenage Engineering "quirky" vision of an instrument that is almost like a game controller complete. But if you're buying upgrades for your OP-Z, the Oplab should occupy the slot if you play with a lot of synths or modular, the Line module should be your choice of expansion if you play with samples and sounds. Rumble is amusing, but it almost feels like it should be in the OP-Z instead of the placeholder plastic :/

For someone who does not use or need any of the other modules, this is a no-brainer. It makes your "toy" synth feel like a big guy. You totally feel it unless you use the synth in a table. Its amazing and much more powerful than I expected.

I agree with others that say you don’t need this. You don’t, but it is great to have if you are using it while holding it often. Gives a cool bass effect. If you typically just have it in a table lying flat, then it may not be quite as useful to you.

So I wasn't exactly sure I'd like this module but once I began using it I realized how it can complement the OP Z's workflow. The vibrations provide tactile cues when sequencing and provide an experience above what many synths offer. Considering there isn't a screen (unless using the app) this helps me "get my groove on" and honestly, it's just damn cool.

This thing does exactly what's asked of it, nothing more, and nothing less. Bravo. Real shame the OP-Z itself is such a marvelous piece of crap from a quality control standpoint, because the ecosystem is near perfect.

Wouldn't go without it for a second, it's so cool to feel a synth the same way you feel a guitar vibrate. All my other synths feel lifeless now. I'd love to see a haptic keyboard on ever synth from now on. 10/10 and less than $100. If you have an OP-Z, get this, it's funnier than a PS5

Hugely overpriced and totally unnecessary - but you’ll miss it once you stop using it!!!

I got this despite seeing a lot of people say it doesn’t really do anything, because of a feeling in my gut that they were probably wrong. When you use this on a table or other surface, yeah, you can’t feel a thing. It is designed to be HELD.Fortunately, my default position when I’m out and about is to hold the unit in one hand, pressing keys with the other hand.In this configuration, especially with some headphones that have good bass (my SE846’s are perfect since they have the extra subwoofer emulating driver), WOW it is AWESOME.If you get drawn into composing and forget the outside world exists like I do, you’ll feel like you’re in a movie theater doing the THX promo! This thing shakes and rumbles in deep primal ways that trick you into thinking the entire world is trembling to your tunes.Just remember, it’s not a miracle device. It is lightweight. OP-Z is lightweight. If you put it on something that can absorb vibrations, like a lap or a book or a table, you’re killing the dear little thing. It is for finger-grip users ONLY, to my mind. But if you’re okay with using OP-Z that way, yeah, this product is even better than the marketing hype.
