Header flange needed to be ground down inside due to excessive weld, cat had a rattle to it from day one, flex joint broke apart after a couple months of using it. (Disappointed) I purchased another one taking a chance that it would be better, so far so good, still a rattle in the cat at certain rpm's. I get it, that you get what you pay for, however, it should be able to last much longer than it did and they shouldn't rattle. Annoying as hell!!!!!!

The cat in this piece is NG. When grafting a o2 sensor the cat shows no change. The pipe fitment is great. The cat portion is very sub standard and you will have to work at getting a check engine light out with this product. Next time foe VW parts I will go to the dealer.

I had to have the pipe and converter installed but they did a good job and there is no more exhaust fumes.

The catalytic converter came with a rattle inside, like the ceramics inside were slightly damaged. It was shipped in a box without any padding and I believe it sustained damage in shipping. The exhaust hangers weren’t clocked in the right orientation so I couldn’t use the factory rubber mount. This I didn’t realize till the cat was actually mounted to the manifold. I took a chance and mounted it with the rattle and so far it’s working, but rattles at idle. Also, the included gasket doesn’t fit. It’s square like the original, but the holes do not line up. My recommendation is look elsewhere and get a different brand.

The overall fit was perfect, but the mounting hardware was not useful, so I had to reuse the rusted nuts I removed to hold it in place.
