The pinion gear on my Arien's snowblower would spin but not engage. This part fixed the problem and was easy to install.

Fit perfectly to fix my Murray snowthrower with a tecumseh engine. Now I can use the electric start again

The Tecumseh 590644 Pinion Gear Bushing completely disintegrated on the original starter and fortunately saved from buying a new starter from just replacing this bushing! Hope that this bushing last longer than the original.

I likeee, As Ive gotten a little long in the tooth (You youngn’s may have to google that for clarification) I decided to install an electric starter on my 1976 vintage Craftsman snowblower. As luck would have it I came across one left over from an auction of treasures that didn’t sell. After installing it, and trying it, the old,old drive bushing (pinion gear bushing) fell apart. Got a new bushing put on the starter and now works like it did in 1976 (there’s a country and western son in there somewhere) Note: I needed to disassemble (remove the armature) the starter motor to install the bushing. Just take your time and pay attention to what you’re doing. Proverbs 3:5-8

Amazing how this little rubber bushing, if it's bad, or in my case totally gone, without it - no electric start on my old Ariens snowblower. And thanks to Youtube on how to install. Just in time for first snow of the season, too! Worked great.

This item repaired my "starter turns, but does not engage engine" problem on my snow-thrower. Most certainly was less expensive and easier to replace this part rather than the entire starter motor assy. I now have back the capability to just push the button to start. Arrived in very timely manner even with Covid going on.

The electric starter on my Snow Blower broke a few years back when a rubber piece fell out. I was still using the snowblower with the pull cord until it broke this winter. Since I had to take everything apart I decided to fix both issues. Most Tecunseh starters aren't made this way and this rubber piece worked perfectly. I've added a photo.I realize that if I had fixed the starter at the first opportunity when the weather was better, I wouldn't have been stuck. Also, the cord wouldn't have broken from all the extended use. The snowblower takes a lot of pulls to get it going at first when it's cold out.
