This product does not fit the 98 ACT or the X7 Phenom. Tippmann and BT markers have been blessed with amazing RELIABILITY, but cursed with MASSIVE AMOUNTS KICK during their firing cycle. Until now... The Zero Kick Hammer is the most profound performance upgrade you will ever experience in a Tippmann style marker. Using our patent pending MRT Technology, we have reduced the internal moving mass of the bolt assembly by nearly half. Say goodbye to the clunky, kickin' like karate, hand-numbing operation that you have come to expect from Tippmann style markers. Say hello to a new age of smoother cycling, higher rates of fire, and above all else... WAY Less Kick! Not only does the lightened weight of the Zero Kick Hammer create less kick, it allows for higher rates of fire and a lower mechanical dwell. This lighter weight allows the Zero Kick Hammer to move back and forth more quickly. This means that you can fit more shots into any given amount of time, commonly called rate of fire or bps (balls per second). This lighter weight and faster cycle also means that the amount of time between when the trigger is pulled and the ball exits the barrel is less than the stock. By being able to move faster, the Zero Kick Hammer reaches and opens the valve faster than stock. This means air is released to propel the ball down range sooner. UPDATE**- ZERO KICK HAMMER NOW COMES WITH A STIFFER DRIVE SPRING TO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ALL THE VELOCITY YOU NEED ON THE FIELD!

I bought this part for my A5. And man with the E-grip you can let it rip and you wont even feel anything. I would say it's worth the money to upgrade to this part.

This is a piece of garbage! Tried to experiment but it has miserably failed.Enjoy the kick of the A5, if you cannot handle it then get some girly marker! $40 is a lot of money for something which is not an upgrade. Is the kick less - Yes, it is.What about velocity - dropped from 290ish to 200. The velocity screw does not help here...Putting stiffer spring - not an option, the marker will not even caulk with after market spring.Tried on 2 A5s I have, same behavior in both... putting stock hammer fixed the issue.

Ok Listen here. This hammer is the best thing you can buy for your tippmann marker period, hands down no competition. I used my marker (Project Salvo with j&j 20" ceramic barrel, and stock cyclone feed) for the first time yesterday since the installation of the hammer. From the last time i used my marker it was going anywhere between 230 and 280 fps (My field allows 300 fps max). I installed the hammer and did not change the velocity since the last time i used it. The crono consistantly put it at 370-380, Big difference. After i set the velocity to my fields regulations i was consistanly at 280-290. My air tank lasted longer, paint flew further and straighter. I made shots i wasnt able to before. My style of shooting is a sniper so this upgrade was the best thing i did to this marker besides the ceramic j&j barrel. Also I just purchased an aluminumn bolt with an interior o-ring so wheel see how much performance i get after that! Buy the bolt. Be like nike and just do it! buy the bolt.... NOW!

I had to put the additional weight that comes with this thing on it to get it to cycle properly. With that added to it, its barely lighter than the stock bolt. I tried the drive spring than comes with it and 3 other springs of various strength, weaker and stronger, but ended up just adding the weight. It does kick a little less, very little less, but theres absolutely no gain in FPS or ball accuracy. And as far as efficiency goes, unless u have an adjustable regulator, youre still gonna use 800psi per shot. Dont be fooled by items that tell you otherwise. On a tippmann marker, (phenom excluded), the velocity adjustment screw is as it is named. A velocity adjustment. It is not an air pressure adjustment. These parts that claim more air efficiency are claiming that they will use the available air more efficiently. You will not get more balls per fill with this part. Only a regulator can do that. So, if you are looking to gain more air efficiency, get a regulator first, then get parts like this and a front bolt with two orings to use less air more efficiently.

Got this hammer for my BT Delta easy to install have no problems. Got a spring kit with it as well but the spring that came with works just fine. Granted my marker didn't have much kick to begin with but it also added to the fps without me touching the velocity screw went from 200 fps to 235- 250 fps it has been varying every now and then. But keep in mind I haven't broke it in completely only got 3 games with it so far. Other wise its a great deal. Love it random note my BT Delta has gotten louder from the hammer but not a big difference.

when I first got it and took it out of the package I imediatly felt the difference in weight from the original hammer. once I installed it, which by the way was a breeze, and air up the a-5 and shot it the reduced recoil was amazing at least 50% less recoil, However the o-ring that came on it was loose and caused the gas used for blow back from the valve assy to blow by the hammer and cause it to not reset on the sear was the only problem I found with it used the one off of the original hammer and that fixed it the ROF did increase a bit but the biggest improvement was the recoil. Good product recommend this to anyone looking for a good upgrade for their tippmann.

Okay, I read the reviews and bought this and the spring kit for my bt 4 marker. I must say holly hell. It shot amazing. I was shooting at 398 witch is way to hot to play with against my friends. I had to change out my spring to the green one that came in the kit I ordered and was able to drop it down to about 310 which is it to hot for tournament play but not to far over. I love the hammer and spring kit. You must buy them together though or you marker will not shot as well with the shock spring. You will love he extra power and range.

I bought this to install on my BT-4 ERC.With the stock spring, or with the spring the ZeroKick Hammer came with, I could only get the velocity up to about 200 FPS.As suggested in some forums, I then bought the BT-4 spring kit and installed the red spring (the firmest one). I could then get the paintball marker to shoot up to 350 FPS, however, the sear would not consistently catch on to the hammer.Initally I gave up, took out the ZeroKick Hammer and reinstalled the stock hammer. After a month, I decided to give it another try. I thought about cutting a small piece off of the red spring (which probably would have worked just as well and saved me about $30), but I decided to install a rear-velocity adjuster instead (because it just looked cool). With the rear-velocity adjuster unscrewed about a quarter of the way out, I have not had the problem of sear not catching. Initially, there was quite a range in velocities with a 40 FPS or so range, however, as I have worn the paintball marker and the spring in, I am now able to get consistent velocities at 270 FPS +/- 7 FPS. One of the benefits of using the red spring is that I am able to not use as much CO2 as the spring appears to push the CO2 out of the power tube with more force.I have a BT-4 ERC, and having the ZeroKick Hammer does make a noticeable difference in the amount of recoil especially when firing >10 BPS. There does not seem to be as much vibration. Overall, I like how the product has enhanced my paintball marker in its current configuration, but I think it could have been better if it came with a better spring to begin with.
