During the day, the solar panel absorbs the energy in the sunlight and converts it into electrical energy for storage in the battery. I wanted a set of (realistic looking) fake outdoor cameras to make someone think twice about taking anything. They definitely fool people.The lights will come on when motion is detected at dusk / night. And the antennas give the impression that they are wifi connected.And tge solar panels energize the lights.

For the price these are very well made. they feel solid and are mostly made of metal. setup was very straightforward. they are super bright when activated. I was using them to light up an alley where people sometimes cut through at night. they work great as lights with the added benefit that they look like cameras. They are solar powered so its important they be placed where theres a lot of sun. so a downside may be you cant use them like under an overhang or where theres mostly shade. there adjustment is also very limited. its basically up or down. you cant adjust them to point side to side with i found a little disappointing. the solar panel has a separate adjustment which is nice. they give you two security decals but the ridiculous thing is they print the fake product name on it. so a burglar could just google the name and find out its a dummy camera. overall, i was very happy with the product for the value.

Appeared to be made well and look real. Neither the camera or the solar panel adjust side to side only up or down which may limit mounting locations but not a deal breaker. After charging for a day and then installing both under the roof line on one of the lenses some of the white led lights that come on when motion is detected do not come on and on the other one the red light does not flash. Maybe I just got a defective set. I had hoped based on the price compared to other set ups and the manufacturing reputation of the seller and after seeing the product quality and how they were packaged I did not expect any issues with them working so unfortunately I discarded the box so can not return for replacements.Up Date: 9-2302024Seller has continued to make promises of replacement or refund and make excuses as to why it has not been done with the latest being they are on holiday and will resolve when they return. If you contact them for an issue or warranty beware that they will stall so that you will exceed the return or replacement window. They do not back their products so purchasing from them is a risk you may want to decide if it is worth it with the many other companies selling similar products.

I was having problems with cars turning around on my lawn and disrespectful dog owners allowing their dogs to poo in my yard and chase my miniature donkeys and bother them at the fence. Signs alone were not working. I have real security cameras, though wanted to add something more. I purchased two of these fake security cameras to try it out. They look more real than my actual security cameras! Love the red flashing light and the motion censored light that pops on is so bright! I have had less nuisance now in my yard and pasture. Plan on buying more for such a great price.

I’ve already installed them on the post, but the motion sensor lights do not work at all. The red light doesn’t work. Just a piece of plastic. The cameras look decently real, so I’ll leave them up I guess.Update: great customer service. Thank you!

We ordered these to help provide additional security on our front porch and facing a side gate that’s adjacent to a busy street. These fake cameras work really well. Just after sunset, red lights appear in the lens area, making it obvious even from a distance that what appear to be real cameras are active. And when anyone comes within about 30’ of the device, a very bright light comes on…definitely a deterrent for anyone who shouldn’t be there. One of the dummy cameras quit working after a few weeks, so we contacted Techage Customer Service through the email address shown on the Amazon page. We were very impressed at how quickly we received a response (from Wincy), and more importantly, how accommodating he was. He immediately arranged for a replacement to be sent, which we received just a couple of days later. Excellent customer support! The fact that these devices are solar-powered is a big plus for us, as each one is installed in a spot with a very spotty internet connection. They work well even at the end of a totally cloudy day. We’re very happy with this purchase as these fake cameras have enhanced our security inexpensively, and were very easy to install (just 4 screws). And again, we’re very impressed with the customer service provided by Wincy.
