This comparatively cheap Techlink TC760LC is a companion to my more than twice as expensive Pro-Ject Phono Box S2, but holds its own. I use it for a second turntable in the living room shelf, and so far it has been a surprisingly good. They come in black and a dark, off colour sort of "champagne" silverish kind of finish.I have no niggles at all on the MM input, so for most people, this will be just fine!The Technolink is noticeably lower in volume than the 200 dollar Pro-Ject (but that is being picky), and has a bit more hum (only heard when not playing a record, music overpowers that sound) on the moving coil input, but if you are on a budget, it is perfectly satisfactory, delivers fine detail, does not fatigue, and is a good long play listening device for hours of music enjoyment.As my first moving coil capable phono box was a cheap Music Hall (which cost 20 bucks more!) with actually even lower and non-adjustable gain, this one is not bad at all. If I had not tried and kept the Pro-Ject, I would probably be ignorant and 5-star happy with this budget phono-preamp!As it is, I am actually happy enough with it to have just bought a second one for the bedroom system!

Have bought many of these types of products from them and have never been disappointed. Great product at reasonable prices that do what they say they will do well - what else can you ask for? Will continue to buy from them

I don't have anything to compare it to except CDs - It sounds better than CDs - Im fully satisfied.

Works well for MM but requires serious isolation trouble shooting to eliminate MC hum from being picked up. Gain control is excellent feature and sound is pure for the price.

Very distinct sound and the option of both MM and MC for multiple cartridge and turntable usage with gain control. Most modern amplifiers are for home theatre and either do not have phono preamps or they are not included. Passing thru Behringer mixer to amp so cannot compare to other non integrated preamps but better sound than the built in preamp on my name brand USB turntable and makes my hi-fi turntable sound stellar.
