Had built an adjustable roller system for a miter saw and the threaded stop was too close to the cabinet for normal thumb wheels. These worked perfectly and are much easier to access than the conventional knobs would have been.

I purchased this item for our deck umbrella stand and I have also used these on production machines that I have built because of ergonomic requirements. These are of high quality. I received them on the day as promised.I have nothing but good things to say about the seller and the product.

Cheap alternative to the $25 dollar Jet part. It's plastic but it seems to work really well. I have been using one on my lathe for the past month and it does the job ! May not last as long but who cares....

This product came up when I was looking for Shopsmith parts. Shopsmith sells an upgrade kit for the tool rest that is just two of this style handles for $29 before shipping. I'm a cheap person, so I figured that this would work well for me. I switched out the lower set screw with no real issues. The new screw is quite a bit longer than needed, but that's nothing a hacksaw or angle grinder can't fix, or just live with it. The issue that I've noticed with the lower screw is that I can't tighten it enough to keep the tool rest from rotating. I'll probably just cut the stud a bit shorter and file in a slightly more aggressive end on both screws to grip properly. The original set screws have a cupped and serrated end that really gripped, while the replacements just have a smooth flat end.The real issue is with the upper set screw. While the screw is just about the right length, the plastic base of the handle is too big around and won't lock and rotate in order to hold the tool rest in place. I've mostly solved this by filing down the two corners that aren't next to the handle. I actually removed even more plastic after I took the picture, and it's still a tight fit. In the picture the mechanism that locks the handle to the stud wasn't fully locking into place. Now it seems to fully lock, but the plastic seems very thin in places (the worst spots seem to be in an area that isn't super important to the function of the handle).Overall, these seem like a great product if its not for a Shopsmith tool rest and probably deserve more stars, but considering that these pop up on the first page when I search Shopsmith, I would expect these to work as a direct replacement. I have no issues modifying stuff if it saves me a few bucks, but I would like to know before I purchase it that I'll have to make some changes.

i got these for my Shopsmith V lathe tool rest. keep in mind these work well for the lower two adjustments because the stud length is shorter, but the top one is a lot longer, needing a different length stud. (can be found on Amazon as well)

These were a cheap way to upgrade the lathe tool rest on my ShopSmith. They work well.
