Measuring the top of the taper, closest to the ball end, 1 pin out of 6 is about .06mm smaller in diameter, but the rest are within .02mm of each other. In order to achieve a close fit I’ll have to fit these pins individually so they are all tight, that means I’ll need to keep track of where each pin goes when I change strings.I suppose this may be as close as one can expected from manufactured pins. I’ll need to turn the pins myself for a tighter tolerance, or buy a bunch of packs and group them by size.Other than this I’m happy with these pins.-1 star for the slight unevenness in sizing.

I wanted an ebony bridge pin that dropped into my Eastman acoustic without sanding. The Taylor pins were the perfect option. My set weighed 3.6g and were just slightly heavier than Taylor's plastic pins (3.4g). The tone differential between pins is due to the mass and fit of the pins so there was no change. Plastic pins tend to get chewed up over time and the ivoroid (galalith) pins are not drop in and weigh almost a gram more.

These pins are terrific. But unfortunately were too big for my taylor 224.😠 what ever you do, do not force or bang them in. You can and probably will split the bridge.

Great fast service from Sims - 5 stars straight up. However, I found the listing on Amazon a little confusing because it had a spec sheet for a guitar, but these are definitely the real deal!

Exactly what I needed to replace the old cheaplastic ones that came on my 214ce. Looking forward to putting these on with my new strings. Seller is a 7 out of 5 in my book!

I have a taylor academy 12e with plastic bridge pins and it was really bright, almost tinny. Tried different strings including daddario exp 16, elixir phosphorus bronze .013 gauge, ernie ball paradigm but it was not helping. This set of ebony pins and santa cruz low tension strings did the trick. It now has a wonderful warmer tone with clarity, sustain, volumes, and definition.
