Right out of the box I plugged it in USB to computer for for and lights on. Connected my martin and my microphone works great. All I need now is to go online and adjust it for my acoustic. I'm sure it's going to be even better. Finally got a recording device that works. I used to record on a tascam 4 track forty years ago. Unbelievable I'm using another tascam today. Bravo

Excelente calidad por el precio, el micrófono directo sonó bastante decente y cremoso pero con los periféricos realmente no me hizo extrañar mi antigua Akai salvo en construcción. Es de plástico pero tiene toda la calidad de sonido y respaldo de la gran marca Tascam. Parece que tiene mucho ruido de piso al grabar pero una vez que mezclas un poco y aplicas los respectivos noise gate notarás un sonido muy fiel e impecable. He grabado guitarras acústicas y me ha dado un sonido muy suave libre de ruido exterior en un cuarto con nulo tratamiento acustico.

Bought this in December 2022 and was working great up until a few days ago. It is now October 2023 and nothing on my system has changed. All of a sudden I'm not getting sound and I replaced the power cord, checked my headset, and the unit doesn't receive sound. My computer plays sound but the unit isn't receiving it. I've gone through all the troubleshooting I can possibly think of and it just doesn't want to work. I am soooo not impressed.

Bought for home recording. The software interface never works consistently and now crashes on startup due to system conflicts with input devices.

I really wanted to like this mixer. It has great potential and features. I ran a podmic with a fethead through it and still had to crank it up to the point of losing any head space. It needs another 30db on board to be useful with a decent gain hungry mic.

Not much to say other than this thing is super easy to use and sounds great! I updated to the latest firmware, and downloaded the Settings Panel software from the Tascam site, and everything just WORKED. For my use (very basic Podcast, two people in one room), this does everything I need. I don't like to do a lot of editing, and sometimes I even stream live, so having intro and outro music on the pads makes it easy for me. I don't use a lot of effects (some of the effects on this are kind of strange IMO), but I do like the basic reverb that allows you to give your podcast some "space". I'm using the cheap Tascam condenser mic (sells for around 50 bucks), but I think it sounds darn good, and it looks like a mini version of a pro studio mic. All in all, hard to beat this for the price!
