I like all the features of this tape measure but the finger opening on the bottom to hold the tape at length and feather and stop the tape rewind is a game changer for me. Quality tape measure, order with confidence.The only question is, what do I do with my seven other tape measures? I find myself seeking out this DeWalt tape measure even when it is not handy.

What I liked about this product was that it is compact but rugged, with a very smooth action extending or retracting it.Presently, I use it to measure siding, so I appreciate the length, as well.

I've been using the same Stanley Fat Max 16' tape for about 15 years. It's seen a lot of rough road, the tape has creased and cracked, so it was time to replace it. I spent about 30 minutes looking at 3 or 4 different tapes, and decided on this one. Some people say it's not 'compact', but it's really close to the same size as my Fat Max 16' tape, and this one is 25', so I would say they get to keep the compact label.It feels heavy and tough, it doesn't feel cheap, and I'm pretty confident that it will take a beating. The extra markings down to the 1/8" is nice, it's on one side of the tape. The anchor plate seems like it will grab the ends of things fairly well, and the blade doesn't feel any thinner than my Fat Max. I'm pretty please with the decision to go with this one, if it turns out to be flimsy in any way, I'll update my review, but you'll be glad you gambled on this one if you've never owned one of DeWalt's tapes.
