This is a really great stool for workbench height. Extremely comfortable. Easy to assemble - takes all of 15 minutes, including throwing out the packaging. Some of the other reviewers mentioned that the seat is slippery. True enougj, but no worse than any urethane seat. I've had this issue before with other seats and solve it by adding a strip of non-skid tape (you can find it here on Amazon - get the "safe for feet" version) to the front edge. Problem solved. I chose the rubber wheels that look like roller blade wheels. They are REALLY slippery on a painted concrete floor. Again, I've seen this before and solve it by winding a pipe cleaner (available here on Amazon for about $1 for a lifetime supply) around the wheel shaft on both sides. Just enough to slow the wheels down but not so much that the wheels bind up.Also, 5 stars for the customer support. I had a minor issue and it was resolved within a few minutes by email. I almost missed the response because it came so quickly :-)All in all, you will be delighted with this stool. It's super comfortable and really does the job.EDIT #1: My clever pipe cleaner trick failed on this chair. I just ordered a set of self-braking casters. This is an option when you buy the chair and makes a big difference on a slick floor. Still 5 stars anad best in class.

Not only is this a great product but it is also a great customer service experience. I bought this chair for my daughter as a gift. I then realized that I needed casters. So I emailed customer service at 7 at night, expecting to get an auto response. Instead Alan emailed me right back. He was so kind and arranged to ship me the casters free of charge. I am so grateful, especially in this time where so many companies don’t offer customer support. I highly recommend this sturdy and excellent chair and want to thank Alan again for taking such great care of me.

I bought this chair to use for welding in my shop. My welding table is 38" tall and this chair has the perfect height range to allow me to either be low and for intricate work or get high and comfortable working wile siting. The rubbery texture is comfortable and feels like it's going to last a while.

UPDATE: I should note that I purchased Option "D Rubber" for $$139.99, which is the one where the wheels do NOT Lock, and they are VERY slick/sliding wheels! --Too slippery/slidey for me! I stubbornly bought this version when I obviously should have bought the "C Self-braking" option (for $148.99) that comes with LOCKING wheels that won't slide once weight is on chair, but will slide once you get off of the chair. In my case, the chair isn't working for me because I SHOULD have chosen the locking option, because with the locking wheels, my chair slides out from under me and slides away from me UNLESS I have the chair cornered (backed up to a corner) so it cannot move at all when I try to sit on it.) Also, I absolutely should have bought a chair with arms so that I have a bit more to grab when chair slides away from me--it likely would have stopped me from falling! But none of these chairs offer arms as option, unfortunately. I LOVE this chair! BUT: I can't trust using it--NOT the chair's fault--it's my fault: I'm very heavy 300 and quite disabled, so I don't have the ability to get on it steadily, nor can I get up off the floor myself should I fall off. I can sit upon the chair when it's at its lowest level but ONLY if the chair is backed against a corner wall! IF it's not pushed flush against a CORNER (as opposed to a flat wall) I found that the chair will slide away from me (out from under me) and I fall before I can get on it! (And it's even worse if it's elevated to its highest level, since my butt doesn't reach that high naturally.) And when I fall, I really cannot get up--at all! (Even the 2 strapping firemen couldn't get me up on their own--how embarrassing, and frustrating not to be able to get up off the floor even with their help!) So obviously, much as I LOVE this chair--it is not safe for me--a very out of shape, heavy, disabled, weak person. (I do wish it had arms, as that would have helped steady me and perhaps I might not have fallen, but I never thought the arms were that necessary. Yet, for me, arms might have given me a chance to avoid falling--who knows? (sigh.)

Not soft as discribed, and the chair is very slick. Even in jeans I am having to constantly sit myself buck up into the seat.
