I have a backwashing water system, and I needed to downsize the tube diameter into a drain and it seems like 16mm (5/8") to 12mm (1/2") are NOT a common size. Luckily with enough searching and converting metric to imperial, apparently they DO exist, but as 16mm to 12mm OD tube quick connects.Originally I was using a barb reducer, but the tubing kept on cracking every few months and I got tired of cutting it back and redoing it. Also in fear it was going pop off and I'd have a flood one morning. I could've run an entirely new 5/8" drain, but it was a waste of existing 1/2" tubing already in place. This tubing is expensive, especially the length I needed.Thankfully I was able to find these on Amazon and in a pack of 10 for other potential projects or just to have on hand. I also like the fact that if you squeeze the blue ring, you can remove the tubing and reuse these connectors if need be.I'll probably buy other sizes after letting these run a few months to test durability for other systems I got running.

Ordered these to replace the cheap ones I purchased they were a dollar more and worth every cent! Attaching copper to plastic line worked great don’t leak at all. Would recommend spending the extra dollar.
