Don’t pass on this tailgate table. Very simple install, comes with the plastic removal tool, drill bit and Allen wrench. If you have a JL like mine, pop off the small plastic section, drill through the 2 cylinder pieces, take off the rest of the plastic and drill through the only two factory marked dimple. Put spacer sleeves in and screw on. Total install, maybe 10 minutes taking my time. No rattle, no give at all!

The table is very well built and not flimsy at all. I chose to not drill any holes in my Wrangler JL by just removing the upper tailgate panel and leaving that area exposed rather and did not put the cover back on. I also never plan to put more than a few pounds on it so I didn’t secure the bottom with screws.My only issue is that the right side buckle doesnt secure as tightly as the left one (im guessing its just a slight deviation in manufacturing) so I ended up wrapping the latch with a few layers of electrical tape so it closes more securely. Either way it would stay closed and its not worth dealing with the hassle of exchanging it…ultimately i just wanted to make sure I never hear a rattle when on bumpy roads.
