The latch was a direct replacement. There are no direction included but none really needed. A single 13mm combination wrench will do the job.Looks like the original.

My truck has over 150K miles. The tailgate latch decided to break during moving between house. What an inconvenience. I was able to work the latch using some vise grips but that is not optimal. A week after the moved I found this replacement latch on Amazon. It works great. It was easy to install and the tailgate latch looks like original.Enjoy!

Quality was good, no issues to install the parts but used the original bolts. The plastic rod clips seemed deformed a bit, had to pry them apart with a screw driver and carefully push then onto the rods. They are not near the quality of the originals. Saved the original clips , probably should have just switched them. Just a bit of adjustment and the tailgate works fine. 2006 Sierra 1500 4x4 Ext cab
