The guard plates were flat but the tail light lenses are not flat.

I absolutely LOVE these Tail Light Guards!!! They really up the look on the taillights for my 2003 TJ. They are thick enough to be durable and the powder coat finish feels good too. The holes all lined up and fit great. I added these to some aftermarket LED taillights so they don't stand out like a big red blob when everything else on the Jeep is silver and black. I uploaded a before and after pic and I think the difference is amazing. I got some longer screws and added some rubber grommets to keep the covers off the taillights to keep from scratching. Just in case the Po-Po decide they aren't quite DOT and make me remove them. I can't see any reason for that though. Very satisfied and would recommend.
