Like many, I wanted auxilary lights not so much to see better but to be seen better. While its' arugable that even when seen, car drivers don't register motorcycles in their thoughts if sure can't hurt to have additional lights that also provide some benefit if you ride along country raods in the even or at night. Also like many, I found the cost of OEM light crazy high even though they are plug in simple. WHen trackform put these out I bought them. As with all my reviews, I buy things I actually use and do not accept free stuff to write reviews. I've bought other Trackform products and all are high quality. The materials are top grade, the light themselves have some real heft so they are solid and the finish is also high quality. No rough edges or anything like that. The installation: I didn't want to use the ACC yellow wire which is designed to monitor battery charge and turn off the lights when the accessory turns off (like back light or some other item that turn off with the ignition off) since I use a distribution box that automatically shuts down added-on accessory power when the engine stops. Without the yellow wire connected the lights will not function. I called Trackform's tech support and asked them how I could get around that yellow wore. They asked me which distribution box I was using and said they would research and get back to me shortly. WIthin 15 minutes I got a text explaining the yellow wire can be associated with positive and so by using one of the several available connectors from the distribution box positive every thing worked perfectly. When the engine is started the distribution box has a slight delay to allow voltage to get stable (millisconds) and the light came on.These light are bright and there are numeros configurations available using the handlebar switch. The switch is easy to use and even if you don't read the manual you can figure it out. There are various way you can mount the lights using the included hardware. Zip ties for the wiring is also included.THe length of the wires is enough that even from front to back of the bike there is plenty of wire.My perseonal preference for improvement would be to the way the wires come out of the control box and to make the power to the lights wires in sections. The control switch wires and power wires exit the control box at one end. The box isn't the smallest although it's not really big. With the strain relief that adds to the length. If the wires could be made with right angle turns at the exit from the control box that would allow it to be placed in smaller area under the seat.If the power and handlebar switch wires had 3 sections for example, then you could mount the entire installation up front and not have a large wire bunch to put somewhere. That would really make this unique and allow for a super clean install if you had power in the front of the bike but limited space for a wire bundle. Its understandable that a long wire length is needed so that the light can be installed in any way but some added flexibility would be great. I must note that other aux light do not have sectional wiring so this is just my personal preference. It is possible to cut the wires and use WAGO connectors or some other highly secure wire splices to do this but for now as I have the control box in the rear under the seat, everything works perfectly.I highly recommend the Trackform aux lights to anyone that wants top quality, great tech support and ease of installation. I doubt that for anywhere near the same price and even 2-3 times more you could find better aux lights. The customer tech support is simply outstanding. They represent how CS and tech support should be. That is one reason why I didn't hesitate to buy these lights, I've used their other products and to date all have exceeded expectations.Again, this review is my own, not paid for, no freebies, no incentives and if you read my other reviews I write things as they are. I hope you find this review helpful.
