I don't use a drone, but I use my pad outside for work, attached to a light stand. This is perfect for blocking the sun and glare, and it's rubbery finish is great to protect the ipad when it's folded down in my bag. The rubbery straps are very flexible.

Excellent product. Prevents glare and provides privacy when needed. Very durable, easy to install, folds flat for storage. Be sure to get the correct size for your tablet.
