Just like the dispensers at restaurants and truck stops in the 60s & 70s. Really dispenses 1 at a time, every time (if filled properly). The barrel that you turn to dispense returns on a cam, weighted, to return to refill position quickly every time without any springs to break! The only way they might have improved it would be something to guide the toothpicks into place while filling, that's the only slight issue: it's a bit fussy to fill (try to find another dispenser that's not!).

Llego con una abolladura, en una bolsa sin protección, se atora al momento de sacar los palillos. No lo compren es caro para enviarlo dañado y sin cuidado. Además no es como el de la imagen.

Nice way to keep toothpicks sanitary, works great serving up one at a time! But, this one came missing one of the rubber feet.

Ok, I love this box. It's adorable and retro. I give it a 4, even though it is just to hold toothpicks (which I only rated a 3 because...well, they're toothpicks). This is a cute addition to my countertop, and works really well at dispensing when I need a pick. It holds a great deal, hasn't gotten stuck. If you want a good, attractive way to hold your picks, well, this is it.

This is a SOLID, STURDY toothpick dispenser. It has a nice, clean look to it. I've read reviews mentioning the price. I must admit, I too, was hesitant to purchase because $15-$16 seems like a LOT for a toothpick dispenser. I even shopped around & compared prices (Amazon had the best price). After I received the dispenser, I was pleasantly surprised at just how solid/sturdy this thing felt. It has a nice weight to it & it looks GREAT in my home theater. At that point, I was pleased that I had taken the plunge & not settled for the cheapest, shiny gadget I could find. I feel confident that this product will stand the test of time... and if it DOESN'T, I'll come back & update this review.

I ordered this to replace a worn out plastic version that you had to turn to get the toothpick out... I HATED that one, you'd have to turn it over and over again to get it lined up and then hope the darn thing would pop out... not so with this handy and VERY STURDY little gizmo. The toothpick comes out EVERYTIME. Looks exactly as described and was much more durable than I even had hoped for. The rubber feet - EXCELLENT feature that you don't appreciate until you see it NOT scooting across the counter. Additionally the fact that they designed this with an easy loader ramp makes it PERFECT. It holds a 500 count box of picks perfectly and I just opened the end of the box and poured them right in.. love it love it love it. In fact, everyone that comes over loves it so much (nice curb appeal) that they want to know where they can order one.

Thought it was a bit spendy, but after getting it, I think this is fairly priced. Replacing an acrylic one I had that had little legs, one of which had broken. This is like the ones you see in restaurants. When I first "loaded" it, the toothpicks wouldn't feed, but a quick couple of mild shakes took care of that. My husband has always got to have a toothpick handy so this is in the kitchen and I have a little "shaker" model by his TV chair. He's a happy man!

I dropped a couple hundred toothpicks in this and it works great. It's got a brushed steel looks so it's not a shiny chrome which is great for my taste. The sticker on the front is retro but not pitching a product which is why I chose this one over others. I wanted something funtional, retro looking but not plastered with a Coke sticker or something like that. It's a good edition to a bar or kitchen table but I'd shy away from a dining room table since it's got a diner kind of look to it. The construction is solid and should last a lifetime.
