Despite clunkiness with finding the correct software online to use with this programmer the system works very well. I baffles me why companies refuse to make it easier on customers.

As some have said the software installation is not obvious but search for “6xgecu pro t48 software download” and you’ll find it. There are multiple download sites. I chose “overseas server”. The download site page is full of distractions, be sure to click the correct button. There was a 17 minute youtube video that resulted from my search and it’s worth watching before downloading although it’s not in english. At least you’ll see how to download and use the software. Pretty intuitive interface. I was able to read, erase, and program EEPROMS very quickly. As long as you know your IC is on the supported list this is well worth the money.

In case this helps anyone: I have managed to make this programmer work on a Mac. I cloned the minipro project from gitlab and built it from source. But before minipro would work, I had to first the software from the manufacturer, which I managed to do on a windows virtualbox vm, to accomplish two things: 1) update the firmware on the programmer; and 2) remove the write protection from the AT28C256 by programming it once. After that I can use minipro on the Mac to read and write the eeprpom successfully.I imagine the same procedure should make it possible to use minipro on Linux, but I have not tested that yet.

This is a great little programmer. I use it to program 28C64 and 39SF010 EEPROMs, as well as test many 7400-series logic ICs. I am also able to use it with my vintage Windows XP laptop without issue.

CCS社のxxx-Xが接触不良で使えなくなり購入しました。PICマイコンの中でもマイナーな品種を使用しているのですが、それも含んで多くの品種に対応しています。専用アプリは中国のサイトへの接続と思うのですが、わかりやすいと思います。ただ、取扱説明書が中国語と英語しか無く、ほとんどアプリの画面のアイコンを頼りに操作する事になります。せっかく良いライターなので残念ですが、星4つにさせていただきます。
