The dark wood is a good match for our bed that was missing the finials. Most of them screwed into the bed knob but we had to scrape the inside of one to get it to fit the bed knob. They look good.

The two sets I received were nicely finished, though one had a bit of a ding in the side that had been put in before the lacquer went on, so they aren't super high end furniture warehouse stuff, but they are solid, well sanded and the color is consistent and well finished. They worked great for my purposes and the price was certainly right.

One of the finials for my bed had gotten lost during our move. I removed the other 3 and replaced all four with these. Perfect solution!

The paint is very brown, not black, and chipped up with a lot of defects.
