While this is a costume piece, I bought it for non costume reasons. Keep that in mind for the review.Structure wise, it is well made with real leather and steel fittings. The leather is very, very stiff and needs oiled, but is otherwise fine. The belt loops have exactly enough play to allow for easy sheathing and unsheathing without the sword hanging limp or pressed to tightly to the body. The belt loops leave enough room to fit a fairly large sword. The buckles do not match the picture but are still fine.It is pictured in my review with a Legacy Arms’ Pompeii style gladius. It holds the scabbard tightly enough that it does not move when sheathing/unsheathing, but not so tight as to affect how the scabbard holds the sword. I would not be worried about the scabbard coming loose in regular use.If the leather had come pre-treated with oils I would have given this five stars. For a costume piece, this ticks all the boxes necessary for actual use.

I got this for my bf an it worked great! We got it for the medieval fair. The sword we bought was pretty thick but a smaller one would be perfect

If you are looking for a frog for a like knife it is great a little stiff but if you add some mineral oil to it it becomes perfect!

Very uncomfortable uncompatible with tactical belts don't tighten tight enough to carry any form of weaponry best it could be used for is construction to hold your hammer
