This item was advertised as being provided by Symmons but it appears it is not. The Symmons TA-4 Temporal hot and cold seats came in a ziplock bag instead of manufacturers packaging and when installed, it did not work. Very disappointed and now that it is 30 days past its purchase date I can not return it...... Buyer Beware.

These fix leaks, not restore heat/hot water. If your shower drips or leaks, these are what you need, if you have gradually lost heat/hot water in your showers, you need the Symmons TA-10 Temptrol Flow Control Spindle Assembly which works great!!The seats fit perfectly, zero issues on the install and usage, highly recommend.

I purchased the 35C tool but found the Symmons seats I received are not six point hex. I question what I received however parts did end up working.

The seats fit perfectly. Very easy to install. Removed large seat first, then inner smaller one. Reversed the sequence to install. Spent a few minutes cleaning threads and surrounding surfaces to make sure seats would seal properly.

Old seats were very worn out and have been around for 15+ years in the valve I replaced them in. No hot water in shower, but it’s fixed now! Hot water seat came out easily using the symmons corresponding tool but cold stripped out as to be expected, had to hammer the tool in then use an impact to remove the seat. What could’ve been a 5 minute job turned into a 50 minute job!

Guys! If you will take the time to view online videos and if the first seat is not stuck, this is a 10-15 minute easy job. You will need the tool which is available at HD for $24.00. Amazon does not seem to have it anymore. It is universal for all Symmons Temptrol valves.If you don't learn how first you will probably have some real troubles.
