Typical high pressure sodium bulb. My fixture uses a 50 watt bulb. Seems like these bulbs are getting harder to find, now that LEDs are around. For the amount of light they put out they are hard to beat, especially when looking at the cost of LED fixtures that put out a comparable amount of light. I also like the amber-orange light, as it attracts less insects.
