You can use it for both meat and cheese Fondue and since the inner pot is made of porcelain it is very easy to clean after cheese Fondue which is really difficult if it’s made out of any metal.

We tried and returned two other fondue pots before we found this one that finally works for us. This one is great because it has an area for hot water between the ceramic insert and the flame. This keeps the contents from burning. You should definitely prepare your fondue on a stove first (for chocolate use a double boiler). Once you put the pre-heated contents in the ceramic bowl it is easy to adjust the flame so the contents stay at your desired temperature. Two recipes came with our pot, one for cheese fondue and one for chocolate. We used both and they were delicious. The fondue stayed a consistent and appropriate heat throughout our meal. Do use the suggested liquers for each of the recipes. It ups the flavor quite a bit. The only thing we did not like were the bulky forks that came with the pot. We purchased other forks from Amazon that were much nicer.

Really beautiful product. I will buy again because I moved countries and sold mine.However... the reason I’m buying again is because I really like the look of this fondue pot. Looks very pretty on the table. BUT as soon as I used mine for the first time, it left a mark that never went away. Half of the pot (where the oil was) from the bottom upwards, became considerably darker than the rest of the pot (top half). Some of the copper finishing also started coming off (1 single spot). Since I can’t find another one that I like so much (as far as looks go), I’ll get another. But it is too expensive to start changing color, or loosing some of the finishing 😐 It looks like it’s worth the price, but once you use it you see it’s a cheap product 🥴

Beautiful piece - love the copper and stainless steel look. Good quality, works well. A little smaller than I was expecting, but not too small. Was really looking for an electric fondue set, but none came close to the looks of this. Bought a big bottle of fire-gel - hope it lasts!

Hard to find a fondue in which you can cook all four styles of fondue: cheese, oil, broth and chocolate, so this saves space in the kitchen, and the price is reasonable. This one is attractive enough for company and useful enough for every day (great for soups). I've knocked off one star because the copper is very thin and wears off even with gentle cleaning. I've settled for living with spots. Also, the fuel pot lid doesn't come off, so it doesn't accommodate any fondue fuel source other than a gel or liquid, and those are harder to find locally.Fondue is a convivial way to eat, and deserves a revival.

We LOVE this fondue set because it allows us to have cheese or broth fondue AND Chocolate fondue! It's a pretty sturdy set, the only thing I would say about it is that some of the slots for the forks in the splash guard are a little tight and hard to get the fork in and out but that's being very picky. And the first time we ordered it, the ceramic insert was broken but they shipped us a new one the same day!We always preheat ours for a few minutes and cook everything in a pot on the stove top before we add it to the fondue pot so we can enjoy immediately instead of it taking forever to melt down off of the flame. But, once it's up to temp, it does a great job at keeping everything warm and melty!

I bought this set mainly for meat fondue, but it is also perfect for cheese or chocolate fondue. The double boiler insert stops chocolate or cheese from burning on the bottom, and the quality of all the parts is excellent. All pieces have a good weight and fit together snugly, and the stainless steel parts make clean up a breeze.A previous reviewer stated that the burner will not fit between the pedestal legs without taking the pot apart, so I was a little nervous about this when I received the item. I set the fondue pot up on the counter, had a look at the legs and the burner and started laughing. There are 3 legs, and they are not evenly spaced, so there is only one opening where the burner is very clearly meant to fit through. But it does, it fits through that opening perfectly. Thanks to said reviewer for providing my family with a funny story to tell every time we use the fondue pot!

This Swissmar fondue set is excellent. I love how stylish it is. I looked on Amazon and other sites looking for a flexible fondue set that could do:- cheeses- broths for meat- chocolateFlexibility is what I was looking for. The 3 in 1 is perfect for doing cheese to start with, when done with that course, remove the ceramic bowl, pour the water out of the copper pot, and put in your broth. Although I haven't used it for chocolate yet, I'm sure it will work well for that. Using this setup for cheese is better than ones that have the burner directly heating the bottom of the bowl instead of water between the pot and bowl which more evenly distributes the heat. Others tend to burn on the bottom unless you constantly stir. Of course if you're into the tradition of Swiss fondue cooking, the "thick" part in the bottom is the tasty part for your special guest! The burner is hot enough to keep your broth simmering unlike another I have used. Also it holds enough fuel to keep things going throughout that course. You will need to refill it between cheese and broth - of course make sure it's extinguished and cool before doing so. I used bottled gel purchased from a local cooking store. An excellent purchase - I am very happy with it.
