I regret ever purchasing this Swiss Madison wall-hung toilet. The flushing power is abysmal—it struggles to flush even the smallest waste, let alone anything substantial. A toilet that can’t handle normal use is completely useless. The design is also poorly thought out. The shape is uncomfortable, and the bowl doesn’t allow waste to flow properly, leading to constant clogs and extra cleaning. The dual flush feature is misleading because neither setting is effective. To make matters worse, Swiss Madison’s customer service is non-existent. I reached out multiple times for assistance, and I received no helpful responses. If you ever need parts or support, good luck getting it.Save yourself the frustration and go with a reputable brand like TOTO or Kohler. This product is a massive disappointment.

Wall hung toilets can be really pricey. The Kohler Veil lists for $2,000 to $3,000. The Swiss Madison St Tropez will cost you around $500 (Toilet+in-wall tank carrier+Flush button plate) and is just as good as the Kohler in my experience. It has a very clean modern look.I have 3 of them in my new house and they work flawlessly. One has been in use for 4 years. As all "water saving" toilets they rarely get the job done in one flush but I have come to expect that from every newer toilet so I don't consider it a problem.Based on other reviews I have added this: To hang a tank cantilevered on the wall, the wall needs to be really strong. We used 2x6 walls with double studs on both sides of the tank carrier and bolted the steel frame to the floor and studs with big lag screws. The carrier frame needs to be rock solid before you close up the wall otherwise the toilet will flex. The tank also needs to be really tight against the wall and the concealed hardware provided is not intuitive to use. The mounting pins need to be threaded to the EXACT depth indicated in the instructions otherwise the tank will not tighten up properly. We installed 3 of these and the learning curve on the first one was steep. My plumber was mystified at times...It does meet code and passed all inspections.

A demanding install. Instructions are a joke. Watch all the YouTube videos you can find before even considering starting the project and don't expect it to be easy. Swiss Madison is no help at all. They won't even acknowledge which brands of flush plates are compatible with their tank system, and all of theirs are pretty tacky looking painted plastic. Turns out most brands are compatible though. Expect to spend about an extra hundred bucks for a decent looking one in real metal etc.

Looks attractive, was not too difficult to install. Have 2 wall hung in new build. chose this as the lower end model compared to the other. First experience owning wall hung. 2x6 framing holds in wall carrier with no problems. As a California resident saving water has now become visually unsanitary. Not yet sure if more water can be left in bowl per valve adjustment but after #2 - it does not clean the bowl. Considering the price I suppose this is all you get. Anyone else have a solution, I’m all ears.

These do not flush well, the bowl is designed to look good, not to flush well. This causes areas in the bowl where the water doesn't "scrape" and it instead forms vortexes that do not pull the waste out. It isn't uncommon that I have to flush twice. Some times paper just floats at the top and doesn't go down. These really are terrible and water inefficient.Additionally, the installation system makes this toilet hard to compress against the wall. Lookup the installation instructions and you will understand why. Unfortunately, compressing the toilet against the wall is paramount for stability resulting in a tricky installation that my plumbers couldn't figure out. In the end, I had to do it myself. I would strongly recommend against using this model. I also had one of two where the ceramic wasn't made correctly and the holes didn't align with the screws so I had to return it.

Some accessories were defective , the plumber had to do a lot of tweaking to install them which took 3 times the regular alloyed installation time. Once the toilet bowl installed it was leaking from the rear side due to defective fabrication. After paying 400$ for the installation , we have to return it and pay a second time to install a replacement toilet bowl. Very costy , disappointing and frustrating. Would not recommend ,

The installation "guide" supplied with the unit was basically a few pictures and captions.Unfortunately, the devil's in the details, and this documentation had almost NO detail. After watching numerous YouTube videos from others attempting this install, I was able to get it installed and working properly. Also, there were some missing parts (mine was a restocked unit maybe?) but they made good on sending replacements without any hassle whatsoever. Now that it's installed and working, it's great. It's the only kind of toilet that I could install in a location where there was no space for a floor drain.Since this drains about 6" off the floor, I was able to route the drain line over to the stack with more than enough slope to allow for proper drainage. The flush mechanism works great, haven't had any issues clearing the bowl after use. Also, I mounted it in a 2x10 wall because I wanted to be positive it would not flex or wobble; that worked well.Overall, I am very satisfied with the purchase. But oh, for a set of actual directions!!! These are no where as easy to install as a floor mounted toilet, and the instructions should have more detail regarding why the pipes connecting the toilet to the frame need to be cut. And how those mounting bolts work and are installed. You shouldn't need to "figure it out" when you buy a brand new unassembled device like this. Please do better with the instructions, or at least have something on your website that goes in to detail

Only man would have designed the traditional toilet with it's curves right in the most difficult area to get to in order to clean. LOLHow many hours of my life have been spent crawling on my knees, meticulously cleaning those porcelain covered pipes?I LOVE that the pipes are concealed, cleaning is streamlined and I can clean UNDER the toilet with a swiffer mop!!!It's a bit uncomfortable to lean back when sitting. My only possible suggestion for improvement.
