About this item

  • Damp washer door seals can get yucky and smell. Prop and Stop Swan helps provide proper air circulation so your washer can dry out between loads. Gets rid of those washer odors for good! The small, soft and effective swan is the elegant solution – Designed and assembled in the USA - Patent Pending.
  • Simplicity - Rubber coated magnet end holds firmly onto your washer frame. The Swan's neck then flips over the door keeping the door slightly open for ventilation, while it keeps the door from swinging wide. Allows for a wide range of door openings.
  • Strong magnetic hold works with with washers that have a non-magnetic doors. The swan is simple to use and has a soft, flexible spring-like body so it won’t fall to the floor if your washer door is accidentally bumped.
  • Prop and Stop is made of Soft and Durable Silicone Rubber, so it won’t scratch your washer. We recommend you never put something hard or rigid between your washer and its door! This could lead to damage to your washer should you accidentally lean into its door.
  • With this simple design there is no need for the adhesive backed magnetic discs - the #1 complaint on door props.

This cleverly designed washer door prop holds the washer door open on front load washing machines to promote better drying. This practice prevents moisture related buildup of that black, smelly, yucky stuff on the rubber door seal. The rubber coated black magnet bolted into the swan's tail connects to the door frame and the long, flexible neck holds the door in place. Our universal design fits the vast majority of old and new style washers and does not require the application of a magnetic disk on the door. The magnetic disc falling off is the #1 complaint on popular washer door prop products with magnets on both ends. Our simple yet better solution avoids that issue altogether by integrating a flexible hook-like swan's neck and head to connect to the door.

The swan prop also works for curved and rounded washer door edges and door frames. The popular double magnet washer door props often require completely flat surfaces to work properly. This is our original design. If you have any issues we are happy to provide a replacement or full refund.

Works as described. Keeps door slightly ajar so we aren't walking into it in our mudroom.

Exactly as advertised. So much better than that squiggly irritating other solution that was difficult to manage, scratched my washer, and finally broke. The swan is easy to install, easy to move and works perfectly! So glad I found it!

My first front load washer. Because of where/how my laundry room is, I needed something to help keep the door opened so it could dry between laundry days. Exactly as described, works well, and cute to boot.

I purchased two, the black swan and the white swan. The black swan because I have a daughter obsessed with Keepers of the Lost Cities and there is a group called, The Black Swan, and I thought it was a neat addition that she enjoys seeing. You can use it easily with front loader. My hubby walked into the open door and broke off the closing clasp, these solve that problem!Quality made! Can be used in a lot of positions.Update. I purchased a TR7 speed when recently, and I now use the swans to prop up top load because I wash on warm water and there is moisture build up on the lid, so instead of leaving lid all the way up, these two do a great job letting air flow in after a wash.

It works well enough, it's just a little more flexible than I would like so it's easy to knock off if you're moving around near the washer (I have a very small laundry room.)

I love that now I can have air circulate without obstructing the doorway.
