I bought two of these mainly for viewing the moon in its gibbous and full phases. That's really the only time I find them useful, but for that application, they work well.I thread one polarizer onto the bottom of my eyepiece and one to the nosepiece of the diagonal in my refractor. In this way, I can adjust the degree of light attenuation by simply rotating the eyepiece in the diagonal.Keep in mind that at high magnification and during last quarter to first quarter phases, attenuation of light is counterproductive, and polarizers are superfluous at best. The polarizers are well made, and Amazon got them to me quickly.

It's only color glass, no effect, I wasted my money.

Does what it supposed to do. The moon doesn't destroy my night vision as badly now using this filter. Also works to bring out some detail and contrast when viewing Globular Star Clusters and other messier objects if conditions are clear.Good Quality product.

For my cross-polarization application, I needed a glass lens to go with a light source that generated enough heat to fry or bleach my various plastic polarizer films. I am hoping this one will do the trick. Interestingly, even though it was for projecting light onto object that is viewed through another set of polarizing film, the better clarity of this lens seemingly made the 3D definition of the lighted object appears better. This is obviously very subjective, so it could just be in my head, that I wanted it to be better. Regardless, I like the result and I am ordering several more for further testing.

This is useful little filter. Great for use as a moon filter or to try and pull a little more detail out in conjunction to a solar wedge. The threads work in all of my eyepieces, I have a lot of them, so standard threading. I have nothing bad to say about this filter

I have nothing to compare it against, but it made the difference between viewing an uncomfortably bright moon and one that didn't hurt your eyes. It's the only one I've ever had so, again, I have basis for comparison, but it worked fine for my needs and was inexpensive.
