When I opened it, it was damaged straight out of the package. One of the elastic ties that you knot around the trunk is coming off of the main piece of mesh.

Just used this for a camping trip. Install was a little difficult, but I think it was because I was installing it on my hatchback with a huge spoiler. I was able to get it on, but the bottom flap doesn't have anything to secure it to the bumper. Zipper works alright and the magnets on the sides work well.

This is a great concept, but it needs more to work well. The sun shade was just a few inches short of covering the entire back of our van (Toyota Sienna) If I pulled it down it would leave a gap up top.The magnets are cool bur it would be even better if they added at least two more on each side. The material is good, but if it snags, I think it will rip easily.Install was a little confusing, the directions aren't that great. A one person is doable, but two people will make it faster and easier, especially if there are bugs around that you want to keep out. There ended up being two straps left over with nowhere to connect them. For an SUV, the sizing would be perfect, but if you plan to use his for a minivan, don't, it will be too small.

First - instructions please! The included "instructions" were just a graphic of the screen already installed, with a note to look on Amazon. I went on and watched 2 people put one on a smaller vehicle, but they don't address which strap goes where. Additionally, four of the straps connect with a buckle system, except the entire buckle assembly was attached to only two of the four straps, so it was your choice which other strap would get the other half of the buckle. I guessed at which went where, so likely isn't correct in my photo. The other straps have little metal hooks you have to put on (those were self-explanatory).I have a 2019 Suburban, and technically speaking, it does fit, but it has gaps in screen coverage. I didn't expect it to fit because of the size of my vehicle, but because the screen is stretchy, it covered pretty well. It comes with magnets installed, one side has metal tabs which could scratch your vehicle, so be careful. And speaking of magnets - remember, not all vehicles are made of metal anymore - or at least not all parts, so check your vehicle first. I put the screen on by myself, and wish there were two things different - one, the ties to the hinge of the hatch should be something that you can latch onto it quickly (like a large hook or carabineer). Most vehicle hinges are very dirty, and mine is no exception, plus it is high, so reaching up to try & feed / tie the strap wasn't fun. The other thing is having extra straps/ hooks at the bottom by the zipper to help seal up the lower part of the screen. Mine hung open to let all the bugs in.I am giving 4 stars because it fit, I could install solo, and I know I'll use it when I need to leave dogs in the vehicle and don't want bugs all over. It is far better than the netting I used to try & drape over the back of my truck. The reason for only 4 is because of the frustration of not having adequate instructions, and that so much of it had to be figured out for yourself.

Overall, seems like a great product. Taking it out of the bag and putting it on the car only took a few minutes the first time, and would have been quicker had I known exactly what I was doing. The back hatch of my 2018 Subaru Crosstrek is a weird one, with a lot of sharp edges and angles. However, it did a decent job conforming to it. There's magnets that keep it on the sides of your car body, and there's straps that go across the hatch in the back to keep it from slipping down. I did this on a windy day and it remained on without issues. The one part it didn't quite cover is a tiny sliver where my trunk curves in at the top. This could easily be fixed with putting some cardboard there to block it off, and most cars won't have a sliver this large. The material is stretchy and didn't seem prone to ripping. The zipper was nice as well. If you're looking for a camping screen that will actually fit most weird car backs, this should be a good option.
