Works wonderful when you cannot use a tent. Straps need to be longer, didn’t reach the side mirrors like depicted. Super easy setup especially for 1 person. Even easier take down.

We love this product. The only bummer is that it doesn't come with poles to utilize the awning straight out. But all-in-all, this will get lots of use! Easy to set up, take down, and store. Love it.

Ripped after the second use. Two of the straps that keep it secure ripped. The rest is fine, light weight, easy to use, and makes car camping great but it’s just so cheaply made.

At first use, I wasn't sure this was going to work out for me because it doesn't fit under the rear bumper of my 2008 Chrysler Town & Country. But, it will hang on to the rubber seal area when the hatch is up. You have to refit it from time to time, but it was doable, so I decided to keep it. I purchased some tarp/awning poles for a taller/roomier cover, otherwise, it works okay to stake it to the ground.

I purchased this product because it was the cheapest version of this item I could find on amazon. I did not have high expectations about the quality of the brand besides other reviewers, so I will add my own experience with details on how I used it.I pulled up to the campsite and within 15 minutes of having this thing up, it started pouring. No water got into my rav4, and for being my second time putting it up, it was quick to assemble and gave me no trouble. It was such a convenient and fun setup that we extended our first car camping trip by a full day. I highly recommend having a fan and window covers in 80°f+ or humid weather to reduce stagnant air. tThe tent does restrict airflow somewhat, to be expected, I do plan on trying it in colder weather as well. This product’s design also makes it effective at keeping bugs out.I will probably buy higher quality tent stakes and rope, but what is provided is adequate. I rated 5 stars because it is exactly as advertised and even exceeded my expectations. Also note to users of this product who are new to suv camping: bring an extra carabiner to put in your hatch so the battery does not drain while it’s open, if applicable!

I wasn’t sure how I’d like this car tent cover for camping, but it turned out to be a real good buy. It was easy to put on an easy to secure. I have a Subaru Crosstrek and it fit perfectly. It is typical tent material, but the seams are straight, and the zippers work really well. I probably wouldn’t put it up in Bear country, but using it in areas where I know it is safe, and I am safe, makes a lot of sense. The extra foot room is worth the purchase.

This is one of those purchases I know will make my life easier. I bought this with our local drive-in in mind, thinking it would be great to keep out mosquitoes and light rain while my family was watching an outdoor movie. I used it today, just after it was delivered.I set it up all by myself with my one and four year old with me, so I have to say it was easy to set up. I didn’t set up the canopy with the poles, just rolled that part up and also secured the straps to my back seat door handles instead of behind the wheels. It fit great on my Ford Escape and felt durable. An unexpected thunder and hailstorm rolled in and was crazy, strong wind and pouring buckets of rain. We stayed dry and it never blew off the car. We did leave soon after that. I can’t wait to use this again!

I'll try and remember to update my review after actually using the tent.I felt like the tent made the car a little warmer when I tried it out on a hot Texas summer evening, as it prevents some of the breeze going through the car. I had no problems putting it up on my own, and it didn't take too long; I'm sure I'll only get faster. It was easy to dismantle, fold up and put in the supplied bag (I folded it by laying on the ground and following the creases). But if it was pouring, I wouldn't want to do that - so I'm yet to try just shoving the tent in the bag.The fit was very tight, and I'm concerned that the seams may pop. I have a 2010 Honda Odyssey Minivan.I hope it will be of use when it's raining and I need to keep the car open for my dog. When it rains in Texas it pours! So here's hoping my car will be nice and dry, but still get some breeze/wind through.
