These stitch scissors are nicely made and finished. They fit together well and move smoothly on the adjustable pivot. I did not need to adjust the pair I received. The blades are plenty sharp and the hook at the tip of the lower blade catches a stitch easily and holds it well for cutting. I have been finding endless uses for them in crafting, costumery, leather working, and I guess they could even be used in a first aid kit.

This is a nice pair of suture scissors to add to my first aid kit. The quality level seems very good; no complaints. I mean their just scissors. The price of 8 USD is very fair. I would order this again for sure.

These are quite similar to surgical scissors in that the don't open super wide, but give you very precise cutting control over a small area. They easily cut through most things I tried, but had a little issue with some reinforced fishing line that took a couple attempts to finally cut. The notched tip is quite handy to catch strings and other round items and keep them in place as you cut. Overall a nice product that should hold up well.

I like the blunt and hooked tip of these suture scissors more than a straight, fine-tipped surgical scissor. They make it very easy to hook and cut the suture without inadvertantly snipping anything else. These suture scissors have a nice weight to them, the finish is good and they make clean, easy cuts. I'm learning how to suture out of personal interest and have no formal medical training, so my opinion is from an amateur perspective. With that said, I would recommend these suture scissors to anyone looking for an affordable, but good option.

These stainless scissors seem to be of decent quality and can be autoclaved. I am a medical provider and sterilized them at work and am keeping them at home for the inevitable family and friend requests for suture removals. I like the hooked end - much easier to isolate a suture to cut it. These are small enough for more delicate sutures but they are thicker than my nicest scissors at work (which I am sure were 3x the price) and not as easy to slide under tight, tiny sutures. However, they are still worlds better than the disposable suture removal kit scissor which feel like using 1st grader scissors. I think they will last through many uses.

We live our in the country, a “fair piece” away from town, and we like to acquire skills and abilities that allow to be as self sufficient as possible. For this reason, I have been wanting to learn how to suture for a long time. I recently talked to a medic buddy of mine who agreed to teach me. I was able to gather supplies like practice needles, pads which simulate skin layers, and I already had forceps. I still needed something to cut the “thread.” Sure, I could just use regular scissors, but I like to utilize purpose built equipment, especially for something this important. So when I saw these suture scissors, I had to order them.Right out of the package, I was really impressed by the fit and finish of these scissors. This item just screams “precision instrument”. It has heft to it that clearly conveys the material it’s made from which I’m sure is surgical grade stainless steel. The components/halves are precisely machined and match up together perfectly without any perceivable edge between the two. The screw holding it together has a straight slot head which is completely flush with the surface on the one side with no hole visible on the other side. This would seem to be a minor detail, but I think it is excellent evidence of the high quality because it is far easier and cheaper to drill and tap a hole all the way through. This kind of detail really makes a difference. Finally, the jaws are incredibly sharp and effectively protect the skin while holding the thread/gut/wire in place while cutting.All things considered, this is clearly a superior, medical grade precision instrument.

Living on a ranch, something is always being repaired. Whether it's cows, calves, dogs or horses, something is usually walking around needing to be put back together, because leaky livestock aren't very profitable. I'm a retired nurse, and removing sutures myself saves the vet hours in making this ranch call and saves us money. My granddaughter is in college to be a vet and I'm going to get two more of these scissors. One for her to use with her suture practice she does here with me, and one to keep hidden at the bottom of my toolbar because that little hook on one end of one blade is perfect for prying out knots in electric fencing, etc., and my first pair are learning to walk! Good product I can recommend.
