Great little survival kit, bought for my son and he absolutely loved it! Good for kids that are outdoorsy and may need a quick tool that’s not usually on hand!

I got this set last minute before a hiking trip in Colorado. It comes packed and when I say packed, the case could stand to be a touch bigger to contain everything. The knife was decent and the few other basic survival pieces were nice. The compass is definitely not accurate. The fire striker worked great. It's a great starter kit for kids and for the occasional day hiker.

This was smaller than expected. But it does have cool stuff. Great stocking stuffer

The product arrived rapidly and was as described. It will make a handy addition to items kept in a go bag or in a car in case of emergency. The hard case is well constructed and contains the items with only minor difficulty. Well worth the money and an excellent product.

The only drawback of this survival kit for minamalists would be the weight - that said the durability should also be considered and this looks well constructed and durable. The knives/spork could be lighter. You could get that in individually purchased items but here you are getting a lot of multifunctional tools in one kit. I've seen complaints about fitting the items back in the container. I had to laugh at these remarks because what good will some of these items do if left in the box when you need them quickly? The knife and flashlight have belt clips. If you remove the knife, water bottle clip (which should be on a belt or backpack) and bracelet which arguably should all be worn, then everything but the spork fit with room to spare. The bracelet is definitely man sized. The telescope looking thing helps stoke a fire by blowing into it while keeping your face away from eventual flames. I'm happy with this purchase.

While all contents are included, they don't all fit in the case. I guess you could keep them all in the pouch it comes in, but not sure how durable that will be. A rundown--**The Good:- spork appears to be fairly good; only time will tell about rusting- flashlight, while lightweight, seems to be good. It is as bright as one would expect with a very small flashlight. It has a "bright", low, and strobe setting you change by clicking the on/off button- belt loop bottle holder seems to be solid- knife appears to be good for a set like this. It does need to be sharpened, but the blade has a "spring action" opening so it can be easily used with one hand- paracord bracelet with compass is of the quality you would expect with a set like this and the compass seems to be accurate (more on this later)**The didn't try yet:- cable saw seems to be of ok quality but I have not gone out to cut any branches with it yet so not sure- blanket comes in a little plastic bag and I know if I took it out I would never be able to get it back in so have not checked it- fire starter appears to be made like most that would come in a kit like this so I expect it would be ok but not sure yet**The meh, it's ok- keychain screw drivers are not great but also not bad from 1st impression; time will tell how durable they are- pen is hard to place; the point on the end is sharp, but the entire body of the pen is so light I'm not sure how durable it would actually be in a real life emergency situation...not sure I would be willing to trust my life or safety to it- bellow is ok but appears to be made of cheap metal so not sure how durable it would actually be in a real world emergency situation- paracord is just ok. I've seen better and I've seen worse- carabiners are alright. They are not intended for climbing but could be used to hang bags or items on hook up off the ground or pair them together and use the paracord as a support for a light cover to give shelter**The Bad/Ugly:- fishing lure is a joke. I know this is an emergency kit, but really? If you were to catch a fish with it, it would likely be ruined and couldn't be used again- pocket multi tool is mostly junk. The knife edge may cut as long as it doesn't need to be a clean or even cut, the saw edge may work but it's very small so anything you may want to use this on you could just as easily break it with your bare hands, the cutouts or off/not lined up correctly, the markings are also not correct; the "ruler" is useless because it is not close to accurate- and for the REALLY bad - the larger device that identifies as a compass. Wow I don't know where to start on it; very low grade materials (has scratches and marks on it just from shipping); direction is Not correct 95% of the time (compared to the included bracelet, phone compass, and a compass used at work that is known to be accurate); try to rely on this to save your life and you would likely end up deadSummary:I gave it 3 stars because there are a few items that could come in handy in an emergency situation, but I cannot recommend it due to the bad items also included mainly the potentially deadly item that identifies as a compass. I was going to give this to my brother at Christmas, but after looking through it there is no way I would gift this to anyone unless I didn't really like them that much. Look elsewhere.
