The SHIELDeye RSCM-13701W is a "Plug & Play" security wireless camera featuring the ability to connect via smartphone by simply scanning the QR code on the bottom of the IP camera. Bypassing the need to access your router and setup port forwarding, the RSCM-13701W can be set up effortlessly by anyone, even those with very little IT experience. The RSCM-13701W have high resolution of 1280 x 720p, h.264 video compression, 2.8mm lens providing 110 degree viewing angle, local storage via SD card (up to 32GB), two-way audio, Wi-Fi 11N standard, pan/tilt/zoom, remote internet viewing, motion detection, night vision with IR-cut as well as network video recording capability. In addition, it is smartphone compatible (iPhone, Android – “SHIELDeye” App required) as well as viewable over the internet using standard browsers on PC (Firefox, IE & Chrome) or Mac (Safari only). The camera runs well as a smartphone baby, pet or elderly parent monitor or as part of a complete home/office security system with remote internet monitoring ability. The RSCM-13701W provides adjustable resolution options (1280 x 720, 640 x 360, 320 x 180) with 30 FPS and minimal bandwidth consumption so that user can choose based on their need. In addition, due to the small file sizes produced by H.264 video compression it has the ability to save tremendous disk space when doing video recording or long term surveillance. The junction of camera has achieved the wider vision view with 290 degree pan and 120 degree tilt. The preferred monitoring area could be easily set with flexible adjustment by touching the monitoring screen on the “SHIELDeye” App to pan and tilt the camera.

This security camera works great. The pan and tilt is smooth and it wasn't that hard of an install. Picture quality is good even at night. This camera is great value at this price. I got it from another store.

First off I have owned am IT company for 15years, and excel in networking, I have installed quite a few cameras for customers mainly bnc analog. This ip camera is ok. It is made by rosewill and sees to be of good quality. FIrst off if you think you are going to use passive poe forget it this is a 5v dc and has a little bitty jack not stand 12v or 24v. I just cut the cord and spliced in a cat5 cable to go 20ft. BIG ISSUE you cannot mount on ceiling! There is no way to invert the video or image in the settings or anywhere. must be on wall or little mount they send you. User interface is ok easy to use. You can set the sensitivity to 1 and it will still alert for people walking 20ft away! Not happy about that. Also you will get tons of pictures with no one in them. The camera snaps a the pictures .5 sec after the alert so the person is already out of view unless you set the motion area huge. All in all this is ok device i am in the market for 5 more and i think i will try some other ones to see how they compare.

Setup wasnt all that easy. Had to look for some things online like setting up the email. The manual doesn't explain what each feature is for and the purpose of it. The audio doesn't seem to be all that great if you have it setup through wifi. I hear a lot of static on my end when viewing through my iPhone. The video quality isn't that great either especially at low light. But for the price this is a great camera. Enough for me to buy a second. I like how it sends me alert emails and you can put a mini sd to the camera for recording. The iPhone app is easy to use. So all in all I give it a 4 out of 5.
