I often use work boots for daily casual wear, if I’m not doing a lot of walking. I was interested in these boots because their style is so similar to hiking boots. Being waterproof is a nice benefit in messy weather.These boots are true to size; I ordered my typical size, and they fit perfectly. They were comfortable right out of the box. They feel a lot like hiking boots, with generously padded ankles and tongues.. They’d be a little warm in summer, but I’d say they could be worn comfortably the rest of the year - even in winter, if you’re not outside very long in extreme cold.The workmanship looks good. Seams are sewn neatly, and my pair had no flaws. I think these boots are a good value, especially considering the Goodyear welt construction.

These boots feel well-made, with thick rubber and cushy soles that provide decent support. However, the comfort isn’t quite there due to the way the laces and tongue are designed.The top few rows of laces tend to slouch, creating an awkward bunching near the ankle while leaving the tongue exposed in an unsightly way. A slightly higher placement of the last few eyelets would have provided a more secure and comfortable fit. As it is, getting the boots tight enough to stay on results in noticeable pinching at the ankle. A durable boot, but the lacing design could use some improvement.
