They work fine as ear plugs but two problems make the review lower than it might have been:1) Instructions of use. The instructions' words explain how to put it into the right ear but the illustrations are for the left ear. Poorly thought out2) Left/right labelling. The left and right labeling is a raised black letter on the black device; very hard to see. The labeling should have been thought through better so that left vs right is easily discerable

They work. Have to watch that the screw-on foam insert does not disconnect with the plastic outer ear holder .... cause then someone will have to try and fish it out of your ear.

I have larger ear canals. I have NEVER been able to get foamies to work well; they just bottom out on my eardrum and I'm constantly having to adjust them. These actually work great! I work in a data center with extremely loud equipment. I also engage in shooting sports. I put them in and immediately the noise level is reasonable and there's no noise leakage when I move my head or open my mouth. I've worn them for several hours at a time at work and have found them comfortable. They come with an extra set of foam inserts, a nice carrying box, and a tie to connect them together should you so choose.

After struggling to fit these properly in my ears, I found these very ineffective for sound reduction, as my intention was for outdoor shooting. They were far too costly not to return. Found Howard Leight MAX Foam Corded to be far more effective and far less costly.

Use these for ear protection while shooting and I double up, although these almost have too much isolation and many electronic headsets don't amplify enough. Fitting my left ear canal is an issue, and the sweet spot means I am pulling the plug out, then it expands too much and I end up pushing it back in. This is unacceptable when someone next to you is shooting a magnum or a large rifle. After ordering more and noticing they didn't match the picture of what I ordered, I emailed surefire for the color coding for sizes. They said to check with Comply.Complyfoam.com sell all the tips, and they have tips that are another 50% longer than the default short tips that come with the surefire plugs. They have a variety pack with 2 small, 2 medium, and 2 large aside from 6 packs of the same in both short (what you get with surefire's) and long (that they call original) that can be found as industrial then canal tips.

I need ear plugs for when I go to the range and these are perfect. I don't use over the ear because I fire my rifle with my cheek on the stock.They really do a great job and fit in my ear perfectly.I have big ears lol so I ordered the large so kinda guess your ear size when ordering.

Amazed at the hearing reduction here versus my older passive earmuffs. Wore them at the range for about two hours and was comfortable the whole time.Tip: Practice rolling the foam and placing them in the ear BEFORE you go - took my a while before I learned how to get a full seal. Once they are in, you are good to go!

Work great, if u like the sound proof of foam ear plugs then these are it with security in the ear, I just had mistake and order wrong size.. I just found correct size for me which is medium for a 1inch flange size, probably work for most. Good plugs get size(YouTube) they work.
