My candle-loving wife has been having increasing difficulty using a long stemmed lighter due to the dubious "childproofing" contraption they all are forced to incorporate these days (I've yet to meet a child unable to operate one, though - reminding me of the amusing sight of a five-year-old opening grandma's "childproof" pill bottle for her when her arthritis is acting up). Reviews on other sites directed me to this product. I have been using more USB-C rechargeable batteries lately and find them to be pretty handy, so I bought one to give it a shot.It's a hit. Works like a charm for her, and when it gets low on power (easy to see by the decreasing number of lights when you go to use it) she just hands it to me and I connect it to my laptop for a bit. Easy to use, lasts a _long_ time on a charge, and is kind of pretty, too. Further, the little plasma spark between the heads doesn't blow out in breeze and appears less likely to accidentally start a fire than an actual open flame from a fueled lighter.Downside: I'm not going to be using this to light my cigars (I suppose I could use this to light a cedar strip and then use THAT to light the puro).

This thing is awesome for getting down in those deep candles and under wax melters. I wasn’t expecting much for 6 bucks but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. It’s quiet and the charge has lasted forever. In fact I haven’t charged it once since I got it and I have used it every day. It’s lightweight and I appreciate the safety measures. To use it you slide up on the on/off switch and then the button is available to push and the prongs slide out the top.

This lighter works fast, is easy to use, and has amazing battery life! I love how it’s pretty and can blend with decor and isn’t too bulky. I have several and have no complaints. I now get them as gifts to go with candles because they are so great!

I’d been considering buying an electric lighter for my candles for awhile, and finally bought this one as I liked the style. I use this every single day, and have for over a month now, and the battery level has not gone down at all. The sound it makes is a little annoying, but that’s a very small trade off compared to the ease of use, safety, and functionality of the lighter. I think it looks sleek, is well made, and is a great addition to my coffee table setup.

Better than I expected. I've started enjoying candles as I relax, and I like to surround myself with beauty, so on a whim, I looked up aesthetically pleasing fire lighters. This came up and still on a whim, I got two of them - gold and light blue. I love them! So does my husband. I was going for looks good but works, and this fulfills both.My mom is older and trying to hold the trigger and push the switch at the same time on a traditional firelighter is almost impossible for her. Plus, they're ugly.I thought this would be acceptable for lighting a few candles around the house and still look good. My husband saw it and he's hard to impress. I had to come right in and order another one, so we'll have three in different colors.I love that they are rechargeable. Thumbs up!

Love these! I got one for me and one for my sister for Christmas. We both have somewhat of a candle addiction. My mom also loved these, and purchased one for herself. They are functional, and help to reduce the amount of lighters you are buying if you are avid candle users like us. The colors are super cute, and I love that they’re rechargeable. I’ve used mine about 7 times and haven’t had to charge it yet. I think these are great for the price, and I’m looking forward to seeing how long these can last!

Very good lighter but after 6 months The lighter does not charge at any cable in my house I don’t know why I think it’s good for just 5 or 6 months only not for long time

After carefully reading instructions, I was a little confused. Lighter seemed to be well charged upon first use. I easily could light a candle, not a pipe. Update, one day later, I could light a pipe, so I'm pleased!After trying a few times, I tried charging on my laptop. LED light didn’t come on. I tried lighting pipe again, wouldn’t work. That was yesterday. Worked for me today!I used a USB adaptor I have for a racquet style moth and mosquito zapper, and plugged e-lighter it into surge strip, charging lighter directly from outlet adaptor Then the blue LED light did go on, and it charged, but for less than an hour, before blue light went out and I unplugged, as instructed in directions for first use. I was a little concerned about distressing high pitched noise, by which some reviewers said dogs and small children were bothered. I heard nothing; so not to worry.

We use it indoors mainly for lighting scented candles [in a jar/container] that my wife buys regularly. No more mucking around with matches trying not to burn your fingers when the candle gets low.This thing lights up first time every time and is nice and long to get to the base of any candle in its container.
