Evidently I ordered this product not knowing it isnt US plugins. Please include that info in product description. What type of adapter does it need?UPDATE AFTER 1 year:Pump stopped working at 11 months.Ran so quiet I couldn't hear it 3 feet from my bed.Replaced it with same company American plugin type that sounds like a washing machine.Does anyone know of a pump that last for years,is quiet and can pump max 3 gallons 20 feet with a 3 foot elevation?

This pump is available for 120 or 240 VAC which is great since I needed a 240 VAC unit. In testing, I found that the check valve has a control handle for opening or closing it but it has no effect; the valve always works as a simple check valve (a one-way valve that stops backflow into the tank from the output line). If it actually operated as a valve and was removable with the output line, that would be handy for removing the line for draining the system for winter.
