I use it for my swabbing out my C flute after playing, and it works great, but, of course, one still needs to swab out the head joint with the cleaning/tuning stick with cloth. Satisfactory purchase. I would buy again.

Purchased this for my daughter's clarinet. The one that we received is dark green with a white string. The string is definitely long enough to easily feed through the clarinet and seems secured well to the swab. The main fabric is not what I would call 'absorbant', but it does the job and dries out quickly before the next use. Could you make one yourself with a hankie and a shoe string?.... yes... but you can also order this and it will show up quickly without any effort on your part aside from clicking 'buy now'.

I use one of these for my soprano and sopranino saxes. The cloth is very long , but easily fits through narrow tubes. The woven cord is durable and long. Best of all, the weight is wrapped in the cord and won't scratch your horn.

This is a FANTASTIC swab! The string is weighted and it very long! I totally recommend this to anyone, you will not regret this purchase! It dries everything right up and can fit through an entirely assembled clarinet!

Not absorbent for my taste. I replaced the weight as well so that I could use it over my lap without it falling to the floor constantly.
