I liked the "salad" spinner component of this salad mixing bowl. As you can see from my photo, once you place the wet lettuce inside the "spinner" and crank the top, it really DOES get the water off of your lettuce! I thought that was pretty neat! As you can see in my photo, the leftover water that was taken out (and left on the bottom of the bowl).I decided to see if this "spinner bowl" concoction would also MIX up my salad (all of the ingredients together)?! I was pleasantly surprised! This salad spinner not only spins to get all of your water out but it spins up one heck of a salad! Another key aspect about this stainless steel mixing bowl that houses a bowl strainer inside, is that...once you take that strainer out and drain the water, you can now dump your salad into the stainless steel bowl and serve it up! How awesome is that?!Here is my con(s) about this product! This salad spinner bowl also comes with five (5) blades or "graters" that you can slip onto this plastic "plate," and I believe you can grate, right into the salad. I gave this salad spinner four (4) stars because I was disappointed that there were no instructions to assist me with using the blades! You are dealing with different blades that cut different food items. I believe it is imperative to KNOW, what blade is for what, before attempting to cut with any blade.So, in the case of "ease of usage," the salad spinner itself was pretty easy to use and clean. The storage of this spinner, I found a bit difficult but of the knob that is on top of the spinner (to spin the salad spinner). If there was a better way that this could be able to fit inside the stainless steel bowl, when say, turned upside down...that would have been much helpful. In terms of sturdiness, it's a stainless steel bowl with black accents. I find it very classy and appealing to the eye.My complaint again, is not being able to utilize the blades, as I would like. Otherwise, wonderful stainless steel salad spinner! I would recommend this item to others, however, with reservations.

We've wanted a mandolin for a while now, and this setup makes me feel less like I'll slice off a finger. Some other reviews mention that the blades are insanely sharp, which they are, but it would be weird if they weren't. That's the whole point of a mandolin. I haven't had a chance to try out the different cutting styles, unfortunately.I wasn't expecting to enjoy the salad spinner that much, but I think I'll get the most use out of it. I don't buy a ton of lettuce, but there's always fruit and vegetables that need washing around the kitchen. Someone else mentioned how weird it is that the title calls this a mixing bowl set. I also don't agree that one mixing bowl qualifies it as a set, but it's still a nice mixing bowl, so I'm happy. When you're storing it, everything will fit inside the bowl, but of course, both lids will just have to sit on top of each other. I don't think the perfect storage system exists when you get this many things in one contraption, so the fact that you can at least dump everything in the bowl is helpful. Considering most people will store this in a cabinet, the aesthetics aren't the most important factor here.Also, don't get rid of the box and directions immediately like I did. It took me way too long to figure out how to work the salad spinner (but that could just be an unfortunate testament to my intelligence).

Product arrived thrown in a non descript box with no manufacture/company name on it. It arrived with no usage instructions, even though it has many attachments. Product itself had no manufacture/company name/logo. No instructions for care ie. dishwasher safe, etc. When I contacted Amazon, they could not find an email or phone number for Customer service. Product looked cheap and not sure if all parts were in the box. Would not advise purchasing this produce.

This is the kitchen device that you didn't know you needed. The quality of the shredders are very good and shred like a dream. Having the lid with shredder attachments to fit the bowl keeps the work so neat. (The only other thing I'm dreaming up is for a DICER lid.....) The fact that this is also a smaller salad spinner is perfect for washing/drying grapes or any hardier berry (i.e. blueberries). Well worth the purchase.

We love this set. Have used it multiple times a week for months as a salad spinner and the bowl we use almost daily. The rubber nonskid bottom is great. The size is perfect for normal uses. The spinner works great. We haven't used the slicers yet but the way they function with the bowl seems like if we ever do use it, it could be a go to.Easy to handwash all the pieces, and the bowl is dishwasher safe if you prefer.This is a great buy! So pleased to have this to use regularly!
