This product works as advertised, but failed prematurely due to the design. Specifically, the lever mechaism used to secure the suction cup to the windshield requires a large amount of force, which ultimately results in the failure of internal parts.I'm on my second unit. The first one lasted one year. The suction cup that came with my radar detector (Escort) has a similar design, but costs a lot more. It didn't last very long, either. Both failures may be partially due to the fact that I always remove the mount when parking outside to reduce the possibility of someone breaking into my car to steal my radar detector. So, if you never take yours down, I suspect it would last a lot longer.I turned in a comment/complaint to the manufacturer/seller website, but never got a response. In summary, I'm not saying you shouldn't buy this product -- just don't expect it to last very long.

This is my second one. The first lasted over 2 years before loosing suction. I use this in my truck (1T Dually) so there's a lot of bouncing and stress put on the mount. I was so impressed with my original purchase I bought the same thing again!

Updated review (one year usage). Original review below.Approximately one year after I started using this mount, it broke on me. It started wobbling and eventually broke and fell from the windshield along with my escort radar while I was driving. The suction cup also started losing suction about 3 months prior to this being broken. To the point that I had to take the radar off the mount when I'm parked because the mount would fall off the windshield.Such a shame that this didn't last longer.Original review below:My original Escort mount for my MAX360 broke so I needed a replacement. I could have either purchased the Escort brand ($40-ish) or this one ($16 at time of purchase). I decided to give this a shot and I have to say that I couldn't be happier. In past summers, my original Escort mount would fail in the Texas heat and I would often find my radar detector having fallen off the windshield. This summer (2023) despite the record Texas heatwaves, my radar detector has not fallen off once so this sticks to the windshield real good.If you're like me and you're just looking to replace your broken Escort mount, no need to spend the extra money to purchase the Escort brand. Just get this one and save some money.

I bought this to replace the stock mount after its suction cup cracked in half. Ever since the first installation this replacement has failed me.First, the part where you adjust the height sagged relentlessly, no matter how well it was secured. Maybe it was heat, but I didn't tolerate it for long until I super glued it into place. That alone is fine really, it's not like you need to adjust it once it's in the spot you want. However...Then, the cup would fall off randomly. Not often, but often enough because you don't want your hundreds of dollars of equipment falling into the dashboard. It wasn't often, at least, until the final straw came.Lastly, the metal, magnetized part that actually holds up your radar detector broke off. Completely. It started to sag before it broke off but I thought that was just my super glue wearing off. Nope, it was a completely different part of the holder. This product has way too many problems and all of them are because of poor build quality. It doesn't secure from day 1 and it fell apart completely after a year. Spare your radar detector from damage and buy something else.

Works as advertised I did notice on cold days will break suction. Re-attach and kept working just fine. Not extremely bothered or a complete deal breaker. Will update once those hot summer days are in full effect.Update: this thing broke sun got to it and shattered the plastic housing plus the suction cup became gelly type just caused a mess. It sucked. To be honest 05/11/2024

Good replacement. Doesn't seem quite at sturdy as original; detector vibrates when traveling. So far, suction cup seems to hold up in the extreme heat of the south.

Works well. Sticks well to windshield glass well. Low vibration mount. Metal tab that fits into Escort Passport MAX / MAX2 MAX 2 MAX II / MAX 360 MAX360 Radar Detector top front mount slot, is the correct thickness (thinness). the Max 360 has a magnet in the mount attachment area that holds to the steel mounting tab.You typically want to stick this mount in a vehicle and leave it - moving the detector from vehicle to vehicle (not the mount). This mount sticks so well (a good thing) it's difficult to remove/relocate. Also you don't want to get its sticky mounting surface fouled with dust and dirt by moving it around. If the suction mount gets fouled, it can get washed with a gentle detergent, let it air dry, then reuse it. Don't try using a paper/cotton towel to dry it, you'll foul it up with paper lint.Recommend also putting a power-tap type RJ-11 adapter jack in each vehicle.
