I installed 10 of these when I redid my roof this year. I like these because they are low profile and blend in to the roofline well. I also like that the loop end stands off the deck and does not have anything laying out on the roof shingles. I have solar panels and I did not want any future service techs attaching any temp fall protection through the new shingles. They are quite simple to install. I put them at the peak of the roof before the final course of shingles. They are attached to the trusses with #12 screws and then covered with a butyl tape (Gorilla tape). I ran the final course of shingles over top of them and then the ridge cap. From the ground they are only visible if you are looking for them. At a passing glance they are invisible.

These are made of aluminum, something like 400lbs failure rating, it will fail if you fall on it. I had to pay the restocking fee, don't advise you do the same.
