Reptiles being cold-blooded animal species need to stay warm for optimal development.
For their upkeep, humidity sources in their enclosure are required. Spreading a thick layer of SunGrow Leaf Litter over the substrate is one such way. In this pack, you will receive 100 dried leaves that you need to spread on to the bottom of the floor. These are said to be magical leaves. You may see the top getting dried, but the bottom of the litter stays moist.
The reptile species have an instinctive fear of prey.
Whether or not any other reptile is present, you need to provide them with shelter and hiding spots. They camouflage and hide under the leaf litter. The presence of leaf litter attracts caterpillars, and worms creating a more diverse habitat. Over time, the dried leaves will start breaking up and provide a moisture-retentive soil where plants can thrive
You may prepare tadpole tea by boiling the leaves for 5-minutes. The water will turn into a yellow-brownish hue and will help in lowering the pH level of the soil and benefit the overall health of these cold-blooded reptiles.
It’s not just snakes and other reptiles that benefit from leaf-litter; box turtles, butterflies, insect-eating birds, and many other wildlife benefits from such a setup. You may also use these leaves for fun DIY crafts such as designing ornaments for a Christmas tree or use it as a stuffing for a scarecrow.

Pretty sure these leaves gave my snake a bacterial infection, treated with some iodine all good now but yeah wouldnt buy again

I got a starter colony of isopods and springtails, knowing I should probably opt for a smaller leaf. These were rated safe for them, and their size is perfect for the small tub I am currently housing them in. As for a food preference, the pods are still too shy to leave their cork bark but hopefully I notice some signs of activity and eating soon. I’m also getting oak leaf litter to mix in with it for variety, but these leaves are wonderful. There are also a LOT of them! Very convenient that they sealed the package into two portions as well so I can keep them stored securely until needed :)

I'm thrilled with the catappa leaves I received today! They were in PERFECT condition; no tears, stacked perfectly and packaged with care! My crested gecko loves these leaves!!!

Debating on crushing them up a bit to make it look more natural but I’m very impressed with the size of these. I needed to add ground clutter for the giant canyon isopods and tropical pink springtails so they’d have food, cover, and something to keep humidity in the ground. I would recommend this product 100%. All leaves are used and shown in my picture. This is a 125 gallon tank and it would’ve easily could’ve the entire bottom
