If you are looking for a warm comforter, this isn't it. Some reviews state it is thin, which it is. The top material has a little shine to it, so it must be a cotton blend, not 100% cotton. It is light weight.I wanted an all round blanket / comforter able to sleep cool in the summer and warm in the winter. I'm not sure that type of bed covering actually exists. Maybe the expensive down filled, but even then, it seems it would be too hot for summer.So far, in the winter with cold air flowing in through window next to my bed, the blanket is warm, but not further from my body, where it is cold. Last night I laid another very light blanket on top and that solved it, warmth mostly everywhere but not too warm.This proves the blanket does breathe, which is what is needed for the summer, so it should be good for then. You can always throw on another blanket to increase warmth, but when too hot, the only alternative is to throw off the blanket. Hopefully this summer it will breathe and I won't have to do that.

I am a hot sleeper in the summer and was searching for a duvet insert that was cozy without making me feel overheated. I was so glad to give this light weight duvet a try. The quality of this duvet insert is top notch. Although this lightweight duvet is thin, it still keeps me warm, cozy and comfortable all night. I am so pleased with this down alternative insert!

I really searched to find the right duvet and I’m so glad I found this one. It arrived in great time. I simply put it in the drier to fluff it up which it did. We were able to use it that night. It’s a lovely weight which keeps you warm without overheating. It has that nice cotton feel and is excellent quality. The tags hold the duvet within the cover really well. I will certainly buy again.

We stayed at a Hilton hotel and fell in love with the duvet insert blanket they used on the bed. I searched online for something similar and found this one by Sunflower. With the exception of the silver gray trim color, it looked identical to the one at the hotel, and was described as "all season, lightweight, breathable, down alternative, with cotton shell". It certainly is all of that and more, the quality is exceptional ! It feels just like a soft cloud covering you. This blanket is worth every penny !!!

I like to be cozy and warm without feeling the weight of a comforter. Arthritis in your joints can make things uncomfortable if they are even a little heavy. This thin version keeps me warm and comfortable without any feeling of being weighted down, and I have a light muslin blanket on top of it. I do not need more than that! The silver edging is pretty and this is very well made. I absolutely love it and the price was great !

I’m so glad a I chose this duvet. It’s not easy to find high-quality cotton items (microfibre has glutted the market). It’s wonderfully puffy, lightweight, and warm. It’s so great I purchased a second one to gift. The description says for year-round use, but without air conditioning in your bedroom, you will be very warm I have a light-weight silk duvet for summertime because the condo where I live is unbearably hot, even in October. I’m impressed with this duvet’s quality and am pleased to be purchasing from one of the smaller companies on Amazon. Love supporting small businesses!

This comforter is everything promised in the listing and more. The outer shell is 100% cotton and silky smooth and soft. The fill is polyester down alternative fibers. After opening the package and releasing the vacuum seal, the comforter puffs up nicely. I laid it out on a sofa, did a little shake-shake and hand fluffing to the individual panels and then let it be overnight to allow it to reach fullness. The size is perfect for a queen bed. It is lightweight yet substantial. This will be a great comforter for all seasons. Note that I am in Nevada where it is not super cold at night. So I cannot speak to that directly now, but I did live in Colorado for 20 years, and I think that unless you drop your night thermostat super low it would be fine. So for me, it is nice and cozy warm for winter and will be breathable cozy for the summer, especially when the cool air of the A/C kicks on. ** Note that Sunflower also sells a "lightweight" comforter. I tried that one first and it is basically a blanket/bedspread level of thickness and warmth and not a great choice for cool nights. The stitching of the box pattern is excellent and the silver border band is a nice added touch of elegance. I like the small box pattern at 10 inches square, which should help keep a uniform distribution of the fibers. As might be expected from the manufacturing process, there were a very small number stray fibers discovered in the process of unpacking and setting up, but see no evidence that there would be a mass exodus of them escaping the stitching. The fibers are like little fluffy balls that mimic down but are round. There are some 1 and 2 star reviews here on Amazon for this product where they say it is not cotton. These are false narratives by those that do not read carefully. The outer shell is 100% cotton and the fill is polyester. There are 2 tags and they state this clearly. It says it is washable but if one thought it would get that dirty and needing to be washed, it might be better to invest in a nice duvet cover and avoid that whole hassle. It also comes with a 10 year warranty which is great, and the price is terrific compared to the box stores or the mail order places. Prime members can order it for fast/free delivery and free returns if you do not like it. I say give it a try! ; )

So comfortable and fit exactly as it should in my duvet cover. Not too light, not too heavy and really soft. Very happy with this insert.
