These tires are what riding mowers should leave the factory with. These maintain traction in places where the useless "turf saver" tires never do. I don't even have weights on them. You can change them yourself, but it takes some effort, even with the right tools ( I have tire spoons, and I fabricated a spindle on my workbench. ). I am very satisfied, and would buy another set if I needed to.

I live in the country and my front yard is really just a small pasture. It's rough, has many low spots and slopes. A standard lawn tractor with turf wheels easily gets stuck in the morning dew when going up a slight hill. Never mind actual mud.These tires solved that problem perfectly. Now I can mow parts of the ditch where I once had to use a string trimmer.

Putting these tires on the wheels might give you a sweat to say the least if you don't have a dedicated tire changing tool. I had to use woodworking clamps to push on the tires to finish the 2nd half all by hand with just tire lever spoons. They are way stiffer than the stock turf saver tires but they are worth the extra effort if your riding mower struggles on wet/sloppy terrain. I mounted them on my Cub Cadet XT1 42 and could climb a very steep slop on my yard I could never before. I can't wait till this winter to try them in the snow for plowing, I highly doubt the threads would fill with snow like the stock tires do. I will update this review in winter time for the sake of it.Update December 24th, 2024: I have used my lawn mower with these tires on 3 or 4 times already to plow snow of different heights and consistency up to 4 inches yet and these tires have been a life changing for this matter, traction has been top notch, no need for chains even on slopes pushing uphill. I definitely recommend this product if you use your riding lawn mower as a snow plow.

Install was a breeze, Ive also been doing tires for a long time no difficulty from a repair shop other then what is to be expected. I also got the exact size I wanted. Others will fit but difficulty can increase. You still have a live axle so don't expect mud bogger status. But they help big time. Looks cool too. Clearance between deck and tire is darn close. If it touched I would have done something with the deck. Does well on grass until you spin then they dig in. I stripe my lawns so it's 3 point turns on every pass tearing up grass was not much of an issue, also mowed lawns for 20 years on zero turns so technique helps. Glad I got the tires. I'll never like a lawn tractor without them agian. Don't forget to check your deck leveling after install.

I put a set of these on my uncles Cub cadet riding lawn mower that kept getting stuck on wet grass. These bite like crazy and are well made and worth the price ! Do yourself a favor and buy them !
