This does exactly what it needs to do. I do a lot of transmission work. It’s great for supporting transmissions, engines, etc. Nice stable base, smooth screw and bearing, and much more affordable than the tool truck. Would recommend.

I have a stand that I got from Northern Tool and this one is noticeably better. This adjusts a lot easier and stays sturdy at a slightly taller height. And it's almost half the price. I already bought another one and will definitely get more when I need them.

I bought this to stabilize and provide back for a truck/car lifted with my MaxJax 2 post life. Works perfect for the application and is easy to raise and lower to the exact height I need. Just bought two more.

These add extra safety with my 3500 pickup on the lift. I use these to minimize lateral pitch when raised. Thus far, they (purchased 2ea) appear well constructed, easy to move around and operate.

Work great to support parts for install. Stow away nice.Be careful. Not strong enough to support extreme weight.

This pole jack is a great addition to the shop if you own a lift. I work off a 2 post lift with some pretty long wheel bases and this gives me the added support and stability I need when having to remove large items. I use it every time I raise a car just for an additional safety as well. Very pleased. Would buy it again.

This is a very good under-hoist stand, for a fair price. I wish I could rate it 4.5, but that isn't an option. I have a heavy duty two post lift, and even though my lift is rated at 3.5 times the weight of the car that I work on the most, I'd never spend any length of time under it without an underhoist stand. It's just not worth the risk, especially when the right safety tools (like this stand) are available at affordable prices.Pros:Sturdy for what it isAssembly is very quick and easyThe foot lever is a nice addition that makes taking the slack out of something while you're adjusting/unbolting it super easy.Neutral/cons:The base is okay for the purposes it serves, but I would have liked it to have been heavier. It was missing the pivot pin that the foot lever connects to the main shaft with, due to being lost out of very poor packaging. There is a reason product packaging is a field of study, and clearly this company did not invest in a person who ever studied such things...Overall, this is a very good value in under hoist stands. I bought one of these, and a tripod style underhoist stand, and personally feel the tripod style is better. That being said, there is nothing really wrong with this one, and you can get more supports for the same amount of money if you're going to buy several stands. It's all just personal preference, and you know what mine is. I do feel it is worth the extra $10 to get the lever at the bottom if you're considering the single post stands, as it makes exhaust and crossmember work much easier. This is the stand that I use on the rear (lighter) end of what I'm working under, and indirectly trust my life with it...
