Like with everything I buy I read the reviews first. The one that was most helpful was the one about not listening to the negative reviews. The box arrived in perfect condition and all the parts were there. It took less than 30 minutes for me (a 54 year old Grandma) to put it together. The lid opens and closes smoothly as it should. The directions were clear and easy to read.Im so happy with it!!!! It is beautiful and exactly what I wanted!!!

I first bought a pair of the Elements Chairs, which I really loved. I thought I would look for something else to provide "ottoman" and "table" space but everything I could buy from a brick and mortar store, was pretty low quality and very expensive. Although you need to be careful to "slide in" the sides of this table so that they don't go wonky, overall, the assembly was quite simple with my electric drill and 3 inch drill bits - and I am one of those people who ALWAYS struggles with assembly - so for me to make this claim is a pretty wonderful thing! I'm using the "end table" as an ottoman for one of the chairs and have placed the "coffee table" between the two chairs on my very small patio. All of the pieces look fantastic, are incredibly sturdy and have a terrific proportion. I've added some bright yellow seat cushions to go with my bright yellow patio umbrella and it just looks wonderfully welcoming, clean and fresh. I really love these products and would buy them again/recommend them to friends.

This product is good enough that I don’t regret buying it, despite a few annoyances. The assembly instructions are minimal, which is typical these days. If you’re used to putting together similar products, you should do fine; otherwise you may be befuddled. The pieces themselves aren’t completely uniform but apparently manufactured to just-good-enough tolerances. The tabs on one side of a panel ought to be the same as on the other side, so you’d think, but in fact they might be slightly bent (mine were). This made proper assembly a bit of a struggle and required a couple of attempts to get things to fit just-so.The assembly instructions list gloves, safety glasses, a screwdriver and a mallet as necessary tools for installation at the very top of page one. Curiously, these four items are never mentioned again. You don’t need to be a genius to realize what you’ll be using a screwdriver for, but a few words about the mallet might have been helpful. The mallet-less instructions simply tell you to push the pieces together, but in fact you will need a mallet to pound them into place -- or will you? Again, if you are accustomed to assembling similar products, you should be OK. If you aren’t, you may find yourself pounding the heck out of two pieces that don’t align as well as they should. To be fair, many products are a lot worse when it comes to overall quality and ease of assembly.Beyond the assembly issues, there are two other problems. The design of the top has an indented border running along the edges. It arguably looks nice, but when it rains, the border collects water. The water stays there, and the wicker-weave design is such that’s actually hard to get the border area completely dry, even with a handful of paper towels. This means that when you open the top, some water may dribble in and land on whatever you’re storing in this box (in my case, towels that I would prefer remain dry). We’re not talking about a lot of water, just a few drops. It’s more an annoyance than a fatal flaw. Finally, the top itself isn’t all that easy to open. It is secured by two “spring closure” clips that hold the cover down rather tightly. That’s good in one sense -- I’ve owned other products where the top has flown open during a thunderstorm. But since the box is lightweight (depending on what you put inside it) when you lift the lid, you tend to lift the box. I suppose the fit may become less tight over time. In any case, giving the lid a quick sharp jerk seems to be the best way to get it open.I keep calling this a storage box, because calling it a “Coffee Table with storage” seems a stretch, like calling a fast-food worker a “sandwich artist.” It’s a big plastic box -- that actually looks pretty good in my back yard. It’s worth the asking price, despite some issues. I’ll just have to remember to keep a roll of paper towels handy when it rains.

Very happy with purchase. Took a bit to settle in as well as build to begin with. Bought as a gift for someone that isn't a 'brown' fan. Their porch furniture set is resin wicker with medium soft warm brown tones and 'bronze' framing parts. The key purpose for the purchase was to offer a small footprint storage piece, that also can be used as a coffee table and occasional 'light' seating (since this piece is not specifically designed as bench seating'. We added a DIY seat cushion tying it in with other furniture pieces. It took a bit to get used to, it isn't quite the same caliber as other higher grade resin wicker pieces on the porch. Yet, it ends up a winner. Storage was immediately found to be a valuable addition, now this item stores a few throw pillows & other garden tools/porch odds & ends in two added tupperware-like bins placed inside. Everything stays very dry. Easy to get in & out, even with the cushion atop. It was a bit of a bugger to build, even with my lengthy experience in such things. Screw holes are not punched through/open already and at a slant. Gettling all sides completely 'snapped in' top to bottom took a couple tries. But, patience, a glass of wine during construction, and knowing in the end that the storage and other uses to come, made it worth the exercise. We did not end up installing the top 'latch' piece yet, top opens & closes fine and there is so far no need to secure further. As an owner of several such suncast etc. outdoor items, true returns come from pieces such as this that do hard duty in storage etc. outdoors even in colder climates such as we have where we live. Very happy with the purchase. Size was a perfect answer for the slightly space-challenged porch area it now serves.
